To carry out the above plan, from the beginning of the year to the end of October 2024, the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development has coordinated with units and localities to organize the granting of VietGAP certification to 130 fruit tree models with an area of ​​over 1,047 hectares. Of which, new certification has been granted to 75 models with an area of ​​over 373.6 hectares, re-certification has been granted to 26 models with an area of ​​over 214.3 hectares, and certification has been maintained for 29 models with an area of ​​over 459.1 hectares. At the same time, labels and packaging have been supported for a number of VietGAP production models.

Currently, Hung Yen city has over 1,000 hectares of longan, concentrated in the communes of Hong Nam, Quang Chau, Tan Hung, etc. Identifying longan as a branded and key crop, the city has actively mobilized gardeners to convert traditional production methods to organic and safe longan production; coordinated with specialized units to organize training on VietGAP longan production techniques. Along with that, mobilize gardeners to establish longan production cooperatives and cooperative groups to create a premise for building production and consumption chains. To carry out the plan to certify VietGAP fruit trees, Phu Cu District People's Committee has directed specialized departments, communes and towns to actively coordinate with the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development to review, inspect and select fruit growing areas that meet the conditions for certification. To organize training and guide farmers on production techniques according to VietGAP standards. Up to now, many areas of fruit trees such as lychee and orange in Tam Da, Nguyen Hoa, Phan Sao Nam communes... have been produced according to VietGAP standards for high productivity and economic efficiency.
