According to the report at the meeting, from 2019 to 2023, the whole province has supported the construction and repair of 2,135 houses; in 2024, the province provided the first support for 240 households to build and repair houses, the support for new construction was 80 million VND/house, the support for repair was 40 million VND/house. In the period of 2021 - 2024, the Provincial Gratitude Fund supported the construction and repair of houses for 24 households with meritorious services to the revolution. According to the review of districts, town and city, currently, the total number of poor and near-poor households in need of support for construction and repair of houses is 741 households. The total number of households with meritorious services in need of construction and repair of houses is 2,076 households.

At the meeting, members of the Provincial Steering Committee discussed and pointed out the advantages and difficulties, proposed key solutions, plans and roadmaps to effectively carry out the support for the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses in the province; contributed opinions to the draft Regulations on the organization and operation of the Provincial Steering Committee; assigned tasks to members of the Provincial Steering Committee and the Provincial Steering Committee's Support Team.

Concluding the meeting, Comrade Nguyen Huu Nghia, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial Steering Committee emphasized: The program of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses is an important political task, demonstrating the sense of responsibility and profound humanity of the Party and State towards people with revolutionary contributions, poor and near-poor households. Therefore, members of the Provincial Steering Committee and the entire political system from the province to the grassroots level need to have high determination and take drastic actions. When developing and implementing the plan, departments, branches and localities that are members of the Provincial Steering Committee must assign specific tasks, clear implementation time and must attach responsibility to the heads of Party committees and authorities in performing tasks, especially in reviewing subjects, building support mechanisms and propaganda and mobilization work to ensure that no households in the province have to live in degraded and unsafe houses. The district level must establish a Steering Committee with the Party Committee Secretary as the head of the Steering Committee; for the commune level, if it is necessary, a Steering Committee can be established, depending on actual conditions. The Provincial People's Committee, the Department of Construction, the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs study and advise the Provincial Steering Committee to issue criteria for temporary and dilapidated houses so that localities have a basis for reviewing, making statistics, supporting and supervising implementation. The Department of Construction proposes house models for families to choose from; reviews, advises, and proposes appropriate support levels so that newly built or repaired houses must ensure quality and long-term efficiency. Members of the Provincial Steering Committee, based on their functions and tasks, study, advise, and propose to the Steering Committee to issue a set of guiding documents on subjects, criteria, scope, support levels, methods of resource mobilization, etc. for unified implementation throughout the province. The Standing Committee of the Provincial Fatherland Front coordinates with the Provincial People's Committee and relevant agencies to develop a plan for early launch.

Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Huu Nghia requested the Department of Labor - Invalids and Social Affairs to absorb the opinions of the members of the Provincial Steering Committee to complete the organization and operation regulations, assign tasks to members of the Provincial Steering Committee, professional teams assisting the Provincial Steering Committee, and other relevant documents. Relevant units strengthen propaganda work, create social consensus to help families with revolutionary contributions, poor households, near-poor households, and people in difficult circumstances in accordance with the motto "Leave no one behind".
