According to the report at the conference, in the first 6 months of 2024, the situation of smuggling, trade fraud and counterfeit goods continues to be complicated on the border routes, sea, seaports, aviation and international post... Inland, the production, storage, transportation and trading of prohibited goods, essential consumer goods, and aviation that does not ensure food safety are complicated. The activities of taking advantage of e-commerce to produce, trade and transport goods of unknown origin, counterfeit goods, and poor quality goods tend to increase... With synchronous and drastic solutions, the functional forces nationwide have detected and handled more than 64,000 violations with a total fine of more than 6,000 billion VND; prosecuted 650 cases with more than 1.9 thousand subjects.

In Hung Yen province, in the first 6 months of the year, the trading, transportation of banned goods, smuggled goods, trade fraud and production and trading of counterfeit goods still pose potential risks and are complicated. The Provincial Steering Committee 389 has inspected, detected and handled 63 violations in the field of prices, 28 violations in food hygiene and safety, and food preservation conditions. The functional forces have detected and handled 445 violations. The total amount of money collected for the state budget is nearly 19 billion VND.

Speaking at the conference, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Luu Quang requested: In the last 6 months of the year, the National Steering Committee 389 directs ministries, branches and localities to continue to thoroughly grasp and strictly implement directive documents on the prevention and combat of smuggling, trade fraud and counterfeit goods; review and propose solutions to difficulties and obstacles in the process of implementing the work of combating smuggling, trade fraud and counterfeit goods; focus on fighting and effectively preventing the illegal trading and transportation of drugs, firecrackers, wild animals, and illegal transportation of cigarettes and gasoline.
