VTK Hung Yen Industrial Park Investment and Development Company Limited on November 23 held a ceremony to announce the results of investment in the construction of technical infrastructure of the Clean Industrial Park (Clean Industrial Park) and signed a memorandum of understanding on the development of Clean Industrial Park II, at the Clean Industrial Park. The ceremony witnessed the presence of Mr. Park Sang Woo, Minister of Land, Infrastructure and Transport of the Republic of Korea; comrades: Tran Quoc Van, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Nguyen Duc Tam, Deputy Minister of Planning and Investment.

Speaking at the ceremony, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Quoc Van emphasized that the ceremony to announce the results of investment in the construction of technical infrastructure of the Clean Industrial Park and the signing of the memorandum of understanding on the development of Clean Industrial Park II is an important event, with practical significance to celebrate the 32nd anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Korea, and is the clearest evidence of the good relationship between Hung Yen province and Korean enterprises over the past years. The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee introduced an overview of the socio-economic development of the province since the re-establishment of the province up to now, and at the same time said that the initial effective implementation of the Clean Industrial Park has contributed to promoting investment attraction, developing the province's industrial parks, boosting local and regional economic development, and creating jobs for people in the surrounding area.

Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Quoc Van highly appreciated the efforts and determination to invest of LH Group, VTK Hung Yen Industrial Park Investment and Development Company Limited in the past time as well as the development prospects in the coming time. At the same time, he hoped that with the advantages of Hung Yen province combined with the science and technology of Korean enterprises, the two sides would have more opportunities for investment cooperation for rapid and sustainable development.

The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested the leaders of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport of the Republic of Korea, the Korean Embassy in Vietnam and relevant Korean agencies to continue to support and create favorable conditions for Korean enterprises to invest in Hung Yen province in particular and Vietnam in general. To continue to develop plans and investment plans for the construction of new industrial park infrastructure according to the cooperation agreement between the two parties (if implemented), ensuring practicality, efficiency and sustainability.

The Clean Industrial Park was approved by the Prime Minister to be added to the planning for the development of industrial parks in Vietnam in the document No. 800/TTg-CN dated June 29, 2020 with a scale of 143.08 hectares. The Clean Industrial Park is located in Hong Tien commune (Khoai Chau) and Xuan Truc commune (An Thi). According to the approved investment policy, the project is invested by a joint venture of 5 investors (4 Korean investors, 1 Vietnamese investor). The project has a term of operation of 50 years (2021-2071), invested with a total registered investment capital of more than 1.7 trillion VND (equivalent to 76.9 million USD).

Immediately after the investment policy was approved, the investor of the Clean Industrial Park project quickly implemented the next legal and construction procedures to start the project in November 2022. To date, the project has basically completed the site clearance work. The investor has built about 65% of the infrastructure items. The industrial park has received 19 investment projects (mostly from Korea) with the registered investment capital of about 125 billion VND and 166 million USD.

At the ceremony, representatives of LH Group and the Management Board of Industrial Parks of the province signed a memorandum of understanding on the development of Clean Industrial Park II.
