At the working session, the leaders of the Provincial People's Committee reported to the working delegation on the results of socio-economic development, production and business situation, public investment, infrastructure construction, import and export. In the first 7 months of 2024, the province's gross regional domestic product (GRDP) increased by 6.81%, ranking the 24th out of 63 provinces and cities nationwide and 8th out of 11 provinces and cities in the Red River Delta region. Current economic structure: Industry and construction account for 64.13%; Trade and services account for 28.05%; Agriculture and fisheries account for 7.82%. Total social development investment capital reached 31,877.8 billion VND, reaching 45.5% of the plan. Total budget revenue from the beginning of the year to July 24, 2024 is 25,089 billion VND, reaching 76.4% of the estimate assigned by the Provincial People's Council.

Regarding the public investment situation, in 2024, the public investment capital plan assigned by the Prime Minister is 19,921 billion VND, up to now, the province has allocated 14,403 billion VND in detail. By July 24, 2024, the province has disbursed 4,070 billion VND, reaching 20.4% of the plan assigned by the Prime Minister.

Regarding infrastructure development, in 2024, the province continues to accelerate the implementation and construction of a number of key transport projects such as: The investment project to build Ring Road No. 4 - Hanoi Capital Region through Hung Yen province; the project to upgrade and expand the extended Hanoi - Hung Yen inter-provincial road, the section through the province; Tan Phuc – Vong Phan road construction investment project (intersecting to the provincial road No. 378)…

At the working session, the province proposed and recommended to the Government, ministries and central branches such a number of contents as: The regulation requiring the use of solid waste packaging or storage equipment for people is difficult to implement, especially in rural areas and many issues related to the treatment of waste and wastewater according to regulations; proposing the Ministry of Home Affairs and the Central Organizing Committee to assess the number of employees receiving salaries from career revenue sources in public service units that do not have a quota for the number of employees to serve as a basis for reducing the number of career employees receiving salaries from the state budget in 2023 and 2024 of the province...
