To widely spread patriotic emulation movements

On June 11, 1948, in the difficult circumstances of the resistance war against the French colonial invasion, in order to mobilize the entire Party, the entire people, and the entire army to focus on solving key and urgent tasks, promoting the nation's resistance war to come to victory, President Ho Chi Minh issued a Call for Patriotic Emulation. His call mobilized and encouraged the entire nation to unite, create a great driving force for the country to overcome difficulties, maintain the achievements of the August Revolution of 1945, and continue to fight against internal and external enemies, bringing the revolution forward.

Imbued with the ideology of patriotic emulation and the teachings of President Ho Chi Minh, over the past 76 years, under the leadership of the Party, Party committees at all levels, authorities, officials, the people of Hung Yen have promoted the solidarity spirit and actively respond to emulation movements, contributing to the successful implementation of the struggle for national liberation, construction and defense of the Fatherland, as well as the current process of innovation and international economic integration now.

With the spirit of patriotic emulation, Me So Commune (Van Giang) was resilient in the resistance war, creative in labor and twice awarded the title of hero by the State: Hero of the People's Armed Forces and Labor Hero in the innivation period. Promoting those special achievements, the Party committee, government and people of Me So commune continue to write new pages of history with the emulation movement of economic development and new-style rural construction that is very proud. Thanks to the solidarity, dynamism, and creativity, after only 4 years of implementing the National Target Program to build new-style rural areas, the commune has "reached the finish line" of new-style rural areas and continues to fulfill its aspiration to become one of the first localities in the province to be recognized as meeting advanced new-style rural standards in 2019 and model new-style rural areas in 2021. Along with the Me So emulation nucleus, in recent times, not only Van Giang district but also localities in the province have made efforts on the race to build communes and districts meeting advanced new-style rural standards and model new-style rural areas. To date, in the whole province there are 102/139 communes meeting advanced new-style rural standards, 36/139 communes meeting model new-style rural standards. Van Giang district is collecting opinions on people's satisfaction about the results of building advanced new-style rural areas to complete the dossier for recognition by competent authorities.

Along with the emulation movement, the whole country joined hands to build new-style rural areas. In recent years, emulation movements launched by the Prime Minister, ministries, central branches and province have been responded and fully performed by all levels of Party committees, authorities, and unions, associated with the implementation of assigned political tasks. The emulation movements promptly encouraged cadres, party members, and people from all walks of life in the province to unite, overcome difficulties, strive, and achieve important results in various fields. Prominent are the emulation movements "Good workers, creative workers", "Cadres, civil servants, and public employees emulate the implementation of office culture", "Smart public mobilization"... From the end of 2022 up to now, responding to the new emulation movement "Promoting the development of synchronous and modern infrastructure; practicing thrift and combating waste" launched by the Prime Minister, sectors and localities have actively implemented it, so a series of works and projects were agreed by the People to hand over the site for construction on schedule, typically: the investment project to build Ring Road 4 - Hanoi Capital Region in Hung Yen province, Tan Phuc - Vong Phan road project, the investment project to build and trade infrastructure of Industrial Park No. 05...

The emulation movement "Good workers, creative workers" in the province annually receives thousands of technical improvement topics and initiatives from workers. The topics and initiatives not only bring economic benefits to businesses, but also help businesses improve labor value, lower product costs, affirm their competitiveness in the market and contribute to the province to improve its industrial production index and increase state budget revenue. Typical examples of this movement are enterprises in Hoa Phat Group, enterprises in Hung Yen Garment Corporation system, Vietnam Automobile and Motorcycle Parts Manufacturing Company Limited...

In order for emulation movements to continue to be practical and effective, on March 6, 2024, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee signed and issued Directive No. 02/CT-UBND on continuing to promote patriotic emulation movements to successfully implement the 2024 socio-economic development plan. Accordingly, the Provincial People's Committee requested emulation clusters, blocks, agencies, organizations and units to continue to propagate and deeply grasp President Ho Chi Minh's patriotic emulation ideology, the Party's policies and guidelines, the State's policies and laws on emulation and commendation work. To strengthen the leadership of Party committees and authorities at all levels, promote the roles and responsibilities of leaders and the Emulation and Commendation Council at all levels, making emulation truly a sense of self-awareness and responsibilities and regular jobs of agencies, organizations and individuals, thereby actively contributing to the successful implementation of the goals and tasks of socio-economic development, national defense and security of the province in  2024 and the 5-year plan 2021 - 2025. To continue to implement key emulation movements launched by the Prime Minister and thematic emulation movements launched by the Provincial People's Committee. To pay attention to discovering, fostering, replicating advanced examples and performing well all 4 stages: Discovering - fostering - summarizing - replicating advanced examples. Imbued with the patriotic emulation ideology of President Ho Chi Minh and implementing the directives of the Provincial People's Committee, in the first months of the year, sectors and localities have actively carried out emulation movements; many sectors and localities have organized patriotic emulation congresses, praising advanced examples so that emulation movements increasingly spread and penetrate deeply into social life. From the beginning of the year until now, there have been 350 collectives and 529 individuals rewarded at the provincial level. The timely praise and rewards have created a strong motivation for each group and individual to actively strive and contribute to building the homeland of Hung Yen to become increasingly rich, beautiful, and civilized.
