In 2023 and the first 4 months of 2024, the Standing Board of Van Lam District Party Committee has continued to pay attention to leading, thoroughly directing and effectively implementing directives and resolutions of superiors and the District Party Committee. In particular, focus on innovating the content, methods and improving the quality of political and ideological education, creating positive changes in the awareness and actions of officials and Party members. The district continues to drastically and synchronously implement Conclusion No. 21-KL/TW dated October 25, 2021 of the 4th Conference of the Party Central Committee (term 13) on promoting the building and rectification of the Party and political system; resolutely prevent, push back, and strictly handle cadres and Party members who have degraded in political ideology, ethics, and lifestyle, showed the signs of "self-evolution" and "self-transformation" associated with promoting learning and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality, and style...

Regarding the leadership in implementing the tasks of socio-economic development, national defense and security, the District Party Committee has issued resolutions and conclusions on socio-economic development in 2023, 2024 and a number of thematic resolutions contributing to strategic orientation in economic development and ensuring national defense and security. In 2023, the growth rate of production value reached 9.22%. The average income per capita reached over 80.2 million VND/person/year. Total state budget revenue attained over 5,335.6 billion VND (reaching 155.26% of the yearly plan). To date, in the district there are 3/10 communes meeting model new-style rural commune standards, 8/10 communes meeting advanced new-style rural commune standards, 19/79 residential areas recognized as model new-style rural areas. ..

At the meeting, the Standing Board of Van Lam District Party Committee requested and proposed to the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial People's Council and the Provincial People's Committee such a number of issues as: Promulgating a thematic resolution on the Urban Development Program for the period 2021-2025, with an orientation to 2030 for Van Lam district. To pay attention to funding support, make mechanisms and policies so that the district has resources to perfect weak criteria compared to class III and class IV urban standards. To pay attention to directing and removing difficulties and obstacles regarding site clearance for project implementation. Provincial departments and branches advise the Provincial People's Committee to direct and request investors to speed up the implementation of urban, housing, commercial and service projects... To consider withdrawing unfeasible and slowly-deployed projects. To solve pollution problems, improve surface water quality of some rivers in the district...

At the meeting, Mr. Tran Quoc Toan, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council moderated the discussion, which focused on such issues as: Urban development planning; investment of resources in project implementation; site clearance for projects, especially performing policies on house rent support, compensation unit prices, housing support, construction works... for people in the area of ​​site clearance to carry out project; disbursement of public investment capital; land management; solving environmental pollution... Comrade Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Tran Quoc Toan suggested that Van Lam district need to propose specific, practical solutions to promptly overcome remaining problems and limitations. At the same time, continue to thoroughly grasp and seriously implement the Party's directives and resolutions in association with conducting the Central's conclusions on the Party building and rectification; thoroughly grasp Regulation No. 144-QD/TW, dated May 9, 2024 of the Politburo on revolutionary ethical standards of officials and Party members in the new period... Regarding planning implementation, the district needs to proactively review, promptly adjust the planning in accordance with the general planning of the province...

The district accelerates the implementation of public investment projects and disbursement of public investment capital; concentrates resources to perfect criteria that are weak and lacking compared to class III and class IV urban standards; reviews and develops plans and roadmaps to completely resolve the situation of outstanding capital construction debt at the commune level... The Party committee and district authorities drastically direct site clearance work with scientific and effective measures and solutions. At the same time, strengthen land management, construction order management, and urban order. Regarding the solution for the problem of environmental pollution, Party committees, authorities, and socio-political organizations strengthen propaganda and dissemination of laws, education to raise awareness and responsibility of officials, Party members and people on environmental protection; inspect and urge the collection, transportation and treatment of waste, especially at temporarily waste burial sites and ares causing environmental pollution; effectively perform the model of classifying and treating organic waste at households in communes and towns...
