The Prime Minister requested the members of the Steering Committee and delegates attending the meeting to focus on reviewing and specifically evaluating the assigned tasks and handling, directing, and resolving difficulties and obstacles, boosting the progress of project implementation in the coming time. In particular, reporting specifically on the results of implementing the tasks, clearly stating the shortcomings, obstacles, difficulties, and measures for implementation in the coming time; handling outstanding issues, such as the procedures for common construction material mines for projects; the progress of site handover, the relocation of technical infrastructure; the project construction status...

According to the report of the Ministry of Transport, at the 12th meeting of the Steering Committee in June 2024, the Prime Minister assigned 57 tasks to ministries, branches and localities; focusing on removing difficulties and obstacles, speeding up the progress of site clearance and providing construction materials. Up to now, the units have completed 20 tasks on time, are actively conducting 30 tasks of regular direction and operation, one task has not yet been due, and the remaining 6 tasks have not been completed on time.

With the strong direction of the Prime Minister, the close coordination of ministries, branches and localities, and the efforts of the transport sector, up to now, the whole country has completed more than 2,000km of expressways. Most localities have actively and resolutely carried out the project site clearance work, however, the work of land clearance and relocation of high-voltage power lines has not met the set progress...

At the meeting, delegates focused on discussing the implementation results; the shortcomings, limitations, difficulties, and obstacles; and proposed solutions to accelerate the progress of implementing national key transport projects in the coming time.

In his speech at the meeting, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh emphasized that one of the goals set by the 13th National Party Congress is that by 2025, the country will have 3,000km of expressways and by 2030, the country will have 5,000km of expressways. The 13th National Party Congress identified three strategic breakthroughs, including a breakthrough in transport infrastructure. The Prime Minister acknowledged, commended and highly appreciated the active participation, efforts and working spirit of ministries, branches, localities, enterprises, construction contractors, supervision consultants, especially the team of cadres, engineers, workers and laborers directly working on the projects. In the spirit of "Just working, no backtracking", "not saying no, not saying difficult; not saying yes but not doing", all for the benefit of the nation, for the benefit of the people, the Prime Minister requested ministries, branches and localities to continue to coordinate and focus on accelerating the progress of projects, striving to complete the set target of 3,000km of expressways by 2025...
