Orange trees maintain a stable plantation area of about 2 thousand hectares in current growing areas, renovate and improve product quality by investing in intensive farming, grafting and improving varieties, replacing with new varieties... Banana trees grow stably on an area of about 3 thousand hectares in current production areas; renovate and replace with disease-free tissue culture varieties to improve quality and reduce pests. Lychee is grown and expanded the area from 800 - 1000 hectares, bringing the total area of lychee growing in Phu Cu and An Thi districts... to about 2 thousand hectares by 2025, of which, Hung Yen's Trung lychee area accounts for about 30% of the area. Guava tree is developed and expanded by 800 - 1000 hectares in districts: Van Giang, Khoai Chau, Yen My, Tien Lu, Kim Dong... increasing the guava area by 2025 to about 1.7 thousand ha. Grapefruit tree is developed and expanded by 700 - 800 hectares, in Hung Yen city, districts: Khoai Chau, Van Giang, Van Lam, Yen My, Kim Dong... increasing the grapefruit area until 2025 to reach 2.5 thousand hectares. Regarding the flower area, the province aims to develop and expand about 500 hectares of flower area in the districts of Van Lam, Van Giang, Khoai Chau, Tien Lu, Kim Dong, Hung Yen city... The flower area in the province by 2025 will reach 1.5 thousand hectares. Ornamental plants are developed and expanded about 120 hectares in the districts of Khoai Chau, Kim Dong, Van Giang, Van Lam, Yen My... increasing the province's ornamental plant area to 1 thousand hectares by 2025. Along with the above goals, the province directs branches and localities to implement 100% of the production area for fruit trees, flowers, and ornamental plants in concentrated production areas of 5 hectares or more and carry out along a chain that ensures safety standards, have a brand, and a large portion of the fruit tree area that is produced and certified to meet VietGAP standards. Every year, new trees are planted, expand, develop and improve productivity, quality and value of planted areas. It is expected to plant new and expand 500 - 700 hectares of fruit trees; 120 - 130 hectares of flowers and ornamental plants. The State invests part of the budget for people to expand new plantation and the project implementation unit will coordinate with media units and coordination units to deploy information, propaganda and encouragement of people to invest their own funds in addition to support to expand the area of fruit trees, flowers, and ornamental plants according to the province's guidelines and policies. To focus on building models: Flowers, ornamental plants, VietGAP fruit tree intensive cultivation, fruit tree irrigation; support maintaining VietGAP certification for cooperatives and cooperative groups; build a trade promotion market; organize fairs and exhibitions; build consumption channels in districts, town and city. People in Chinh Nghia commune (Kim Dong) expand the area of concentrated flower plantation for high economic efficiency. The project was approved with a total investment capital of more than 423.4 billion VND for the period of 2020-2025; of which, the state budget supported more than 93.7 billion VND. Budget capital is focused on supporting the expansion of new planting areas; 100% organic fertilizer for plants grown according to the project; 100% varieties for flower and ornamental plant models; supporting 50% of the cost of irrigation models for fruit trees. To support 100% of the cost for establishments to register and issue new standards for safe citrus production areas and VietGAP for the first time, 100% of the cost of maintaining VietGAP certification; 100% of the funding for registering codes, barcodes and advertising and branding costs. In addition, the project supports 100% of the costs for participation in fairs and exhibitions; 100% of the funding for building consumption channels in districts, town and city. To implement the project, recently, the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development has directed specialized units and coordinated with localities to synchronously perform solutions as follows: Arranging land use plans for development of fruit trees, flowers, and ornamental plants. To boost the application of science and technology in the production process. To continue to implement the plan to organize certification of VietGAP standards on a number of key fruit trees in the province. To preserve fruit using film technology, irradiation, freeze drying technology, quick drying technology, cold storage, and automatic warm temperature control. To use iMetos weather - environment technology to forecast and warn of weather - environment, natural disasters and pests for plants. To renovate and build irrigation system; upgrade and complete the main and infield traffic system; build a tank to store pesticide packaging for concentrated fruit trees, flower and ornamental plant areas. To build houses for preliminary processing, processing, packaging and preservation of products. At the same time, well carry out solutions for domestic and export product consumption markets.
