At the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Manh Quyen, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, expressed his pleasure in welcoming the delegation from KOTRA, KITA, KBIZ, and South Korean enterprises visiting to survey the investment environment in Hung Yen. He emphasized that South Korea has consistently been one of Vietnam's leading strategic partners in general, and a key partner for Hung Yen in particular. Currently, South Korea is a leading nation in terms of the number of projects and the volume of Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) in the province, making significant contributions to local socio-economic development. Over the years, the investment projects by South Korean enterprises have actively contributed to socio-economic growth, job creation, and the improvement of living standards for the local population.

Informing South Korean organizations and enterprises, the Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee stated that Hung Yen has finalized its provincial master plan for the 2021–2030 period with a vision to 2050. This plan establishes three development poles and creates a transportation network connecting the province with Hanoi and other provinces in the Red River Delta. The province has also allocated significant land for industrial development, featuring one economic zone (covering over 30,000 hectares), 65 industrial parks (totaling 21,554 hectares), and 115 industrial clusters (totaling over 7,000 hectares). Regarding investment attraction, Hung Yen is focusing on high-tech sectors, clean and eco-friendly industries, smart logistics, and large-scale, high-tech agriculture.

Thanks to its favorable location, the province is currently attracting numerous domestic and foreign investors for research, surveys, and investment projects. Consequently, the Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) for the first six months of 2026 is estimated to have grown by 10.72% year-on-year, maintaining a trend of quarter-on-quarter growth acceleration. Hung Yen ranks the fifth nationwide in economic growth rate. The State budget revenue is estimated at over VND 40 trillion, reaching 48.25% of the annual target.

The Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee affirmed that Hung Yen is building an investment environment that is open, transparent, safe, and highly favorable for investors, including South Korean partners. He expressed confidence that the delegation's visit serves as a valuable opportunity to enhance mutual understanding, discuss the areas of shared interest, and unlock practical, effective cooperation opportunities.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed opportunities for cooperation, business networking, investment promotion, and supply chain development. Representatives of the Vietnam Trade Promotion Agency (Ministry of Industry and Trade) and South Korean organizations and enterprises expressed their sincere appreciation for the warm reception extended by provincial leaders. They highly valued Hung Yen’s development potential, favorable geographical location, industrial infrastructure, and strategic direction for attracting investment. The South Korean delegation showed particular interest in such sectors as manufacturing and processing, supporting industries, logistics, digital transformation, and the development of industrial park and economic zone infrastructure.

The Chairman affirmed Hung Yen’s commitment to standing alongside businesses by creating a favorable legal framework, promptly addressing challenges, and ensuring essential infrastructure as well as a safe, stable investment environment. He directed provincial departments and agencies to provide maximum support—with speed and efficiency—to South Korean investors during their exploration and survey processes, aiming for the early finalization and implementation of specific projects.
