During the meeting, the Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee provided an overview of the province's socio-economic development over the first nine months of 2026 and highlighted Hung Yen’s potential, advantages, planning orientation, and future spatial development strategy.

According to the planning orientation, the province has identified three development zones: the northern dynamic zone, the central zone, and the coastal zone. Simultaneously, the province aims to develop economic corridors that facilitate inter-regional connectivity and integrate industrial, urban, and service sectors. These corridors include a national-level corridor (Lao Cai – Hanoi – Hai Phong – Quang Ninh); the Red River Delta corridor (Quang Ninh – Hai Phong – Hung Yen – Ninh Binh); the Red River ecological-economic-cultural corridor; and the industrial-urban-service corridor.

The Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee emphasized that, with its favorable geographical location, interconnected regional transport system, ample room for industrial development, and potential for a maritime economy, Hung Yen possesses significant advantages for attracting both domestic and foreign investors. The province’s development strategy focuses on economic corridors, high-tech zones, supporting industries, and logistics services. It prioritizes the development of comprehensive infrastructure and strengthens the integration of industrial zones with transport networks, urban areas, and economic hubs, all with the goal of gradually elevating Hung Yen’s position within regional and international production and supply chains.

Affirming that Hung Yen consistently prioritizes investment attraction alongside the improvements in growth quality and sustainable development, comrade Nguyen Manh Quyen, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee, stated that the province will continue to accelerate administrative reform, enhance the investment and business environment, develop infrastructure, and proactively support enterprises throughout the research and project implementation phases.

He expressed his hope that investors will continue to explore the province’s potential and advantages, choosing Hung Yen as a destination for strategic investment projects, particularly in high-tech and modern industrial sectors, thereby contributing to local economic growth, job creation, and sustainable development.

Representative of the business community expressed their appreciation, highlighting the province’s geographical advantages and infrastructure, while specifically commending the provincial leadership’s keen interest, receptive attitude, and high regard for investment attraction efforts; while also expressing a desire to promptly advance cooperation steps, moving toward the implementation of investment activities in Hung Yen.

The investment project for the construction and infrastructure development of Industrial Park No. 01 – "Green One" is being invested by Viglacera Hung Yen Joint Stock Company. The first phase of the project spans 216 hectares, with a total investment capital of nearly VND 2.326 trillion. The project is envisioned as a high-tech industrial park, featuring a comprehensive, modern, and eco-friendly technical infrastructure. It prioritizes attracting investment in such sectors as electronics, telecommunications, pharmaceuticals, supporting industries, advanced materials, clean and renewable energy, as well as manufacturing and processing.

The Industrial Park No. 01 – Green One benefits from a strategic location and excellent transport connectivity. Situated adjacent to provincial road No. 382B and linked to the Hanoi–Haiphong Expressway via the Yen My interchange, the site offers convenient access to Hanoi, major industrial hubs, airports, and seaports across the Northern Vietnam. The project is designed to ensure a reliable power supply via two independent transformer stations, with water provided by the Da Trach Water Supply Plant, meeting the business and production requirements of enterprises, particularly those in the high-tech sector.

Speaking at the ceremony, a representative of Viglacera Hung Yen Joint Stock Company expressed gratitude for the attention and guidance provided by the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial People's Council, and the Provincial People's Committee. He acknowledged the support from various departments, agencies, and local authorities in addressing challenges, as well as the cooperation of the local community during the site clearance process. Furthermore, the investor requested that the province continue to prioritize the completion of the provincial road No. 382B, specifically its connection to the National Highway 39A and the provincial road No. 200; while also assisting in resolving obstacles related to land procedures and shortening the processing time for permits for secondary investors. The enterprise has committed to focusing its resources on ensuring the project to remain on schedule, developing comprehensive infrastructure, attracting major domestic and foreign corporations, and making a positive contribution to local development.

Speaking at the ceremony, comrade Le Quang Hoa, Member of the Provincial Party Committee’s Standing Board and Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, emphasized that the development of the infrastructure for Industrial Park No. 01—"Green One"—is of great significance. It will expand the space for industrial development, attract investment, and serve as a catalyst for the province's economic growth in the coming years.

On behalf of the provincial leadership, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee acknowledged and commended the efforts of various departments, agencies, local Party committees, and authorities, as well as the project imvesror and the local residents, whose consensus on site clearance was instrumental in reaching this groundbreaking stage.

To ensure the project is completed, becomes operational, and achieves its intended impact, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee urged provincial departments, agencies, and the authorities of Yen My and Xuan Truc communes to continue supporting the investor in overcoming challenges and accelerating administrative procedures. He also called for enhanced oversight and guidance throughout the construction process to ensure that the industrial park’s infrastructure is comprehensive, modern, and fully compliant with standards for a bright, green, clean, and beautiful environment. The Provincial Industrial Zones Management Board shall fulfill its role as a focal point, proactively coordinating with relevant agencies and units to provide timely counsel to the Provincial People's Committee on addressing emerging issues and accelerating project implementation.
