Vietnam - Cambodia Student Exchange Program 2025 with the theme "Connecting Today - Sustainable Tomorrow"

The program saw the presence of Comrade Nguyen Thi Thanh, Member of the Party Central Committee, Vice Chairwoman of the National Assembly, President of the Vietnam - Cambodia Friendship Association; Ms. Chea Kim Tha, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Cambodia to Vietnam.

On the side of Hung Yen province, in the attendance were comrades: Pham Quang Ngoc, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Lai Van Hoan, Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Nguyen Van Huy, Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Deputy Head in charge of the National Assembly Delegation of the province and leaders of departments and branches of the province; relatives of martyrs and war invalids who performed noble international duties in the Kingdom of Cambodia; and a large number of students from the Kingdom of Cambodia and other countries studying in Vietnam.

In his opening speech, Mr. Le Van Tuy, Standing Vice Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam - Cambodia Friendship Association, emphasized that Vietnam has always been a "hospitable land", a place to sow the seeds of knowledge for tens of thousands of international students. The presence of students from Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, Mozambique, and South Korea has created a rich multicultural educational environment.

In particular, the message of the program "Connecting Today - Sustainable Tomorrow" was emphasized as a commitment of the youth of the three countries to build and strengthen the foundation of long-term cooperation; at the same time, affirming that today's students will play as an important bridge for friendship, cooperation, and sustainable development of tomorrow.

The Standing Vice Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam - Cambodia Friendship Association, Le Van Tuy, hopes that the program will become a forum for exchanging knowledge, culture, and life skills; nurturing beautiful friendships so that no matter where they go, students will still remember the precious time in Vietnam.

Speaking at the program, Comrade Lai Van Hoan, Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, affirmed: Over 58 years of building diplomatic relations, the two countries have always been united, standing side by side, together maintaining peace, stability and promoting development for the benefit of the people. Hung Yen province has always paid special attention to people-to-people diplomacy. In particular, in recent years, the province has maintained activities to meet international students, effectively implementing the "Nurturing Friendship" program with 3,300 participants, contributing to strengthening the solidarity between Hung Yen and the Cambodian people.

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Lai Van Hoan hopes that this year's exchange program will open up more opportunities for practical cooperation between Hung Yen and Cambodia in the fields of health, education - training, high-tech agriculture, processing industry, culture - tourism, etc., as well as further consolidate the traditional friendship between the two countries.

Sharing at the program, Ms. Chea Kim Tha, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Cambodia to Vietnam, expressed her emotion at the affection that the Party, State and People of Vietnam in general, and the Party Committee, Government and People of Hung Yen province in particular have given to Cambodia. She emphasized that the solidarity of the three countries of Vietnam - Laos - Cambodia is forever a sacred and indivisible symbol, built from the sacrifices in the history of national liberation. In particular, in the context of many changes in the region and the world, the relationship between the three countries is still developing sustainably, being an important pillar for cooperation in politics, defense - security, culture, education and science and technology.

Ms. Chea Kim Tha also highly appreciated the effectiveness of the activities of the Central Committee of the Vietnam - Cambodia Friendship Association in recent times such as organizing meetings with Cambodian students, supporting scholarships, visiting and giving gifts to Cambodian people. These activities have contributed to strengthening the bond between the people of the two countries, which is the foundation for the younger generation to continue to preserve and promote that special tradition of solidarity.
