According to a report from the Department of Transport, the component project 2.2 (building parallel road) was started in November 2023. After 8 months of construction, 8 construction sites have been carried out on the entire parallel route. The construction volume of the main items has been achieved as follows: Foundation excavation of all types is 18.45/33.65km (reaching 54.82%); ceotextile spread at 13.25/23.95km (reaching 55.32%); covering 14.52/33.65km with sand (reaching 43.15%); treating weak soil with absorbent wicks, sand wells, excavating soil replacement, and cement-reinforced soil pillars are 6,715/9,576km (reaching 70.12%). The basic construction progress meets the requirements compared to the contract progress.

To date, the entire province has recovered land and handed over to investors 195.2/225.9 hectares (reaching 86.4%). Eleven resettlement areas and seven areas to renovate and expand cemeteries have been implemented. Currently, the cemetery renovation and expansion areas have been basically completed; in resettlement areas, the construction volume is about 60 - 80%.

The project process is facing such a number of difficulties and obstacles as: The results of determination of the specific land price have a large difference in the price of residential land at the recovery location and the price of residential land at the resettlement location with land compensation; the difficulties in moving the Van Giang Experimental Station lead to difficulties in handing over the site; propagation of the removal of graves that have not yet had enough time for reburial faces many difficulties...
