The Provincial People's Committee receives and works with Chinese enterprises to learn about the investment environment in the province
On the morning of July 9, Comrade Nguyen Le Huy, Member of the Standing Board of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee chaired a working session of the Provincial People's Committee with Next Group Trade and Investment Corporation and a number of Chinese enterprises led by Ms. Geng Ruiling, Head of the Advisory Board of the Development Research Center of the State Council of China, to learn about the investment environment in the province. In the attendance were representatives of leaders of a number of relevant departments, branches and sectors.

At the meeting, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Le Huy gave an overview of the province's development potential and advantages, emphasizing that Hung Yen province is located in the center of the Northern Delta, belonging to the key economic region of the North. Hung Yen has abundant human resources, with a workforce of over 1.72 million people, accounting for about 54% of the population. In the province there are currently over 25,000 operating enterprises, employing about 580,000 workers. In the first 6 months of 2025, the province has attracted 82 new FDI projects with a total registered capital of 1,218 million USD and an increased capital for 49 FDI projects with a total registered capital of 190 million USD. This is the highest result ever with a total newly granted and increased investment capital in the period of 1,408 million USD.
Currently, Hung Yen province is focusing on calling for and attracting investment by industry, industrial park and industrial cluster infrastructure; high-tech agriculture; trade - logistics services; housing, urban areas, especially modern urban areas, ecological urban areas, resorts, service urban areas and the fields of transportation, high-tech waste treatment plants, healthcare. Especially the vision and orientation of economic space development towards the sea, the province is implementing many key projects in Thai Binh Economic Zone.
The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee highly appreciated the attention to research and survey of cooperation and investment opportunities of the delegation of Next Group and Chinese enterprises; at the same time, affirmed that the province is ready to welcome and create the most favorable conditions for enterprises to invest in Hung Yen. The provincial leaders pledged to always accompany enterprises, listen and direct, promptly remove obstacles in the process of investment projects performance.
At the meeting, Ms. Geng Ruiling, Head of the Advisory Board of the Development Research Center of the State Council of China and representatives of Chinese enterprises shared about the history of the enterprises, the field of production - business and investment orientation, emphasizing that these are large enterprises that have cooperated and invested with many countries in the region around the world. The delegation hopes to exchange, discuss and seek cooperation opportunities with Hung Yen province in the development of new energy, renewable energy, artificial intelligence AI, green agricultural products, construction of medicinal plant areas....
Also at the meeting, the two sides focused on exchanging contents related to preferential policies and mechanisms for FDI investors when investing in the province.
