The Provincial People's Committee held an expanded meeting of its leadership to nominate candidates for the 18th Provincial People's Council, term 2026-2031.

The meeting saw the presence of Comrade Pham Quang Ngoc, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Members of the Provincial Party Committee’s Standing Board; leaders of the Provincial People's Committee and the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee; leaders of departments and agencies under the Provincial People's Committee; leaders of the Provincial People's Committee’s Office and heads of divisions, boards, and centers under the Provincial People's Committee’s Office.

At the conference, delegates were briefed on the directives from the Central Government and the province regarding the election of the People's Council’s delegates at all levels for the 2026-2031 term; they also heard about the standards for the Provincial People's Council’s delegates, the structure, composition, and procedures for nominating candidates as stipulated.

According to the list of candidates expected to be nominated for the 18th term of the Provincial People's Council, period 2026-2031, the Provincial People's Committee’s Office has 8 nominated candidates, including: Pham Quang Ngoc, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Nguyen Le Huy, Member of the Standing Board of the Provincial Party Committee, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Le Quang Hoa, Member of the Standing Board of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Lai Van Hoan, the Provincial Party Committee’s Member, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Nguyen Tuan Viet, Deputy Head of Economic Division 1; Hoang Thi Thuy, Deputy Head of Internal Affairs Division; Tran Thi Thanh Binh, Deputy Head of Foreign Affairs Division; and Tran Quang Thanh Tuan, Deputy Head of Science, Education, Cultural and Social Affairs Division, the Provincial People's Committee’s Office.

Voters at the conference unanimously vote in favor of the list of candidates nominated for the 18th Provincial People's Council, term 2026-2031.

Based on the proposed list, the conference proceeded to discuss, review, and implement the nomination process in accordance with the correct procedures. As a result, 100% of voters unanimously agreed with the proposed list of candidates for the 18th Provincial People's Council, term 2026-2031. The consultation and voting process was conducted seriously, objectively, and in accordance with regulations; it also served as an important basis for the Provincial People's Committee to continue implementing the next steps in the consultation process, ensuring that the election of People's Council’s delegates at all levels for the 2026-2031 term is carried out strictly, legally, and with high quality.
