The Plan for organizing activities to promote the consumption of agricultural products in Hung Yen province in 2025

On 29/10/2024, the Provincial People's Committee issued Plan No. 164/KH-UBND on organizing activities to promote the consumption of agricultural products in Hung Yen province in 2025.

Accordingly, the purpose of the Plan is: Proactively promote, advertise, introduce, and expand the market for agricultural products of the province in the 2025 crop year; create opportunities for traders, agricultural production and processing establishments, farms, and gardeners to connect, learn, exchange experiences, promote product brands, and develop the market for agricultural products and processed agricultural products of the province; contribute to supporting the establishment of a network of sales points of the province's strengths in order to boost the consumption of Hung Yen's goods in general and agricultural products in particular in the domestic market and bolster exports.

The plan requires: Organizing events must be solemn, thoughtful, safe, economical and effective; the implementation process must have close coordination between departments, branches, districts, town, city and media agencies. The preparation of content, programs and forms of information provision must be innovative, ensuring completeness, reliability, creating strong and positive communication effects, creating favorable conditions for the consumption of typical agricultural products of Hung Yen province; products participating in trade promotion activities are the ones with clear origin, meeting quality and food safety standards.

The main contents of the Plan include: Organizing the Hung Yen Lychee Fair in 2025; organizing the Conference on promoting the consumption of Longan and agricultural products of Hung Yen province; organizing the Hung Yen Orange Fair; printing packaging to promote the province's agricultural products to serve events and organizing other trade promotion events under the direction of the Provincial People's Committee.

The Provincial People's Committee assigned the Department of Industry and Trade to: Take the lead and coordinate with departments, branches, the People's Committees of districts, town, city and related units to develop detailed programs, scenarios, and conditions for organizing events; invite and connect domestic and foreign distribution enterprises, supermarket systems, wholesale markets... to participate in the province's agricultural product consumption events. To take the lead and coordinate with the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, the People's Committees of districts, town and city to survey and collect information on local craft village products, agricultural products and food strengths; synthesize information of enterprises, cooperatives, production and business households to introduce and promote in events. To take the lead and coordinate with the People's Committees of districts, town and city to invite reputable enterprises, production and business units, traders and small traders in the province to participate, visit and seek cooperation opportunities to act as a connecting point between production enterprises and the distribution system. To arrange the layout of the product display booth and transaction locations, connect businesses at events. To be the focal point to update and exchange information with relevant agencies and units throughout the preparation, implementation and monitoring process, and report on implementation results. To take the lead and coordinate with relevant agencies to develop and organize propaganda on the mass media of the central government and provinces and cities. To coordinate with the Provincial Police in ensuring security and order for trade promotion activities and agricultural product consumption in the province. To provide and exchange information on legal documents of event organizers as well as businesses expected to participate in events to serve the review and verification work to ensure absolute safety of events. To take the lead in printing and producing product packaging to serve the introduction and promotion of products at events.

To assign the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development: Strengthen the direction and support of the People's Committees of districts, town and city to apply advanced farming techniques, expand the farming area according to VietGAP standards, extend the harvest time, implement the registration of production area codes for export, issue quarantine certificates, quality inspection, food safety, etc. for longan, lychee, orange and agricultural products of the province. To preside over and coordinate with the Provincial Farmers' Association, the Provincial Cooperative Union to select, introduce and support enterprises, agricultural cooperatives, craft villages... to participate in events. To prioritize enterprises with safe food chain products, products meeting advanced VietGAP standards... To preside over and coordinate with the Department of Industry and Trade to perform contents in the field of agriculture and rural development according to the program of the events. To synthesize information on agricultural production of the province, especially longan, lychee, orange products, and send it to the Department of Industry and Trade to develop propaganda and promotion content at events.
