According to the report of the Ministry of Transport, at the 14th meeting of the Steering Committee on September 17, 2024, the Prime Minister assigned 83 tasks to ministries, branches and localities; focusing on removing difficulties and obstacles, speeding up procedures for the preparation of investment projects. To date, the units have completed 41 tasks on time, are actively performing 33 tasks of regular direction and management work, and 2 tasks that have not yet been due, and 7 tasks have not been completed on time.

With the strong direction of the Prime Minister, the close coordination of ministries, and branches, localities have actively implemented the site clearance work, the area handed over increased by more than 20% compared to the report at the 14th meeting. Because the remaining area is mainly residential land, the implementation of determining the origin and compensation plan is complicated, so some localities have not met the requirements; some localities have not progressed compared to the previous meeting... The Ministry of Transport has coordinated with the localities assigned as the managing agency to review the implementation plan, build a detailed schedule, especially for projects with a plan to complete in 2025 to closely monitor the progress. Most of the projects have sufficient material sources and favorable site clearance conditions, the construction progress meets the requirements...

At the meeting, delegates focused on discussing the implementation results; the shortcomings, limitations, difficulties, and obstacles; proposed solutions to accelerate the progress of implementing national key transport projects in the coming time.

Speaking at the meeting, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh emphasized the great significance of key projects. These are not only economic development projects but also a driving force for job creation, reducing logistics costs, contributing to bringing a prosperous and happy life to the people. The Prime Minister requested localities and relevant units to be more determined in resolving difficulties, speeding up progress and ensuring the quality of projects. Ministries and sectors coordinate more closely, at the same time proposed specific solutions to overcome delays, not affecting national development goals.
