Speaking at the tree plantation campaign for the Binh Ngo Spring 2026, Comrade Pham Quang Ngoc, Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, emphasized: Imbued with the teachings of President Ho Chi Minh and implementing the Party's policies and the Government's directives, every year, as Tet (Lunar New Year) approaches, the people of Hung Yen, along with the people of the whole country, enthusiastically participate in the tree plantation and reforestation. Over time, the Tet tree plantation campaign has truly become a part of life, a beautiful cultural tradition and a widespread mass movement. In the period of 2021-2025, the entire province has planted more than 8.6 million trees of various types. The area of mangrove forests continues to expand and is managed effectively, contributing to the protection of the ecological environment, biodiversity, strengthening coastal protection, responding to climate change, creating landscapes, and promoting sustainable socio-economic development.

Comrade Pham Quang Ngoc, Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, delivers a speech at the launching ceremony.

On behalf of the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial People's Council, the Provincial People's Committee, and the Provincial Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, the Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested that all levels of Party committees, government agencies, mass organizations, the armed forces, the business community, and the entire population actively respond to the "Tree plantation festival in eternal gratitude to Uncle Ho" movement in the Binh Ngo Spring 2026 with a high sense of responsibility and practical, effective actions. This includes boosting widespread dissemination of the purpose, meaning, and long-term benefits of tree plantation and reforestation; creating a strong shift from awareness to action; ensuring that "every planted tree thrives"; planting trees in conjunction with care and protection, and linking it to urban and rural development planning. The development of tree plantation and reforestation plans must be linked to urban development, agriculture, and the construction of new-style rural areas. The plantation should be appropriate to the soil, climate, and cultural identity of each locality; avoiding ostentation, formality, and waste. Investment projects should prioritize tree plantation as a crucial component, managed and implemented systematically and seriously. Simultaneously, focus should be placed on protecting and developing the province's coastal mangrove forests.

He suggested that every official, Party member, and citizen of Hung Yen should be encouraged to start with concrete actions such as planting and caring for a tree at home, in their residential area, or at their workplace; and to preserve and protect trees in public places so that the tree-plantation campaign truly spreads widely and becomes a regular, voluntary activity of the entire society.

Le Quy Don commune’s leader, representing the communes and wards in the province, delivers a speech in support of the movement.

Immediately after the launching ceremony, the Standing members of the Provincial Party Committee, along with provincial leaders and a large number of delegates and local people, participated in planting trees in the grounds of the Le Quy Don Memorial Area, initiating a vibrant emulation movement for a green, clean, beautiful, and sustainably developed Hung Yen.
