The groundbreaking ceremony of Gel – O&J Automobile Manufacturing Plant Project

The GEL – O&J Automobile Manufacturing Plant Project is the core project of Hung Phu Industrial Park, with a land use scale of 38.1 hectares and a total investment capital of 319 million USD. This is one of the large-scale and modern projects of the automobile industry in Vietnam. According to the plan, the project will be implemented in four phases: Phase I from 2025 to 2026, with a designed capacity of 60,000 vehicles/year. Phase II from 2027 to 2029, with a designed capacity of 120,000 vehicles/year. At phase III and IV it will start construction after 2030 with a total designed capacity of 200,000 vehicles/year.

The factory is designed to integrate as follows: Welding workshop, painting workshop, plastic parts workshop, assembly workshop and professional vehicle testing track according to EU standards along with other production and manufacturing areas such as: Logistics support center, vehicle transportation center, environmental treatment center... The production lines are equipped with advanced automation solutions, integrated smart control technology, energy optimization and emission reduction, meeting strict international standards and global standards.

Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony, Comrade Le Quang Hoa, Member of the Provincial Party Committee’s Standing Board, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee highly appreciated the choice of investors on deciding to invest in Hung Phu Industrial Park and acknowledged the efforts of investors in performing procedures related to the project in the past time.

The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee emphasized that in order for the project to start, Hung Yen province has fulfilled its commitment, stepped in decisively, quickly, and promptly responded to the investors' recommendations and problems, and always accompanied the investors in the process of preparing and implementing the project. He requested the investors to focus resources on conducting the project to complete it on or ahead of the registered schedule, put the project into operation soon, promote investment efficiency; strictly comply with the provisions of the law on planning, land, investment, construction, environmental protection and other relevant legal provisions. At the same time, proactively coordinate closely with the departments, branches, and localities of the province to remove difficulties and problems during the project process.
