The consultation on the implementation plan for the construction of Hung Yen Provincial General Hospital with a capacity of 1,500 beds
On the morning of March 14, the Provincial People's Committee held a consultation meeting on the implementation plan for the construction of Hung Yen Provincial General Hospital with a capacity of 1,500 beds. Comrade Pham Quang Ngoc, Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, chaired the meeting. In the attendance were Comrade Pham Van Nghiem, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dao Xuan Co, Director of Bach Mai Hospital; experienced domestic and Japanese experts and consultants; and representatives from several relevant agencies and units.

According to the construction plan, Hung Yen Provincial General Hospital will have a modern architectural space and will be equipped with advanced facilities and technology. The hospital is planned to be built in Pho Hien ward, divided into three sections: outpatient and emergency block; inpatient block; and technical and emergency resuscitation block, with a capacity of 1,500 beds.
At the meeting, delegates discussed the architectural plan; the hospital's location; the implementation time and progress of the project.

Speaking at the meeting, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Pham Quang Ngoc, emphasized the role and significance of the construction of the 1,500-bed Provincial General Hospital. He suggested a modern architectural design for the hospital, but stressed the need to preserve the unique character of the area and harmonize with the urban architectural plan of Pho Hien. He affirmed the province's determination to ensure the project is implemented and put into operation as soon as possible; requesting the consulting and design unit to plan the construction area of the Provincial General Hospital as a medical center complex for Hung Yen province, aiming to become a medical center for the Red River Delta region. The Department of Construction, in coordination with the Department of Health and other relevant departments and units, prepare all necessary conditions to be able to start the project in 2026.
