The volume of real estate transactions from 2022 to the present has reached approximately 537,000 - 785,000 transactions per year. Housing prices, land prices, and other types of real estate tend to increase year by year, with varying fluctuations. As of August 31, 2025, outstanding real estate credit reached approximately VND 4.1 million trillion.

To carry out the "Investment in the construction of at least one million social housing units for low-income earners and industrial park workers in the period 2021 - 2030" project, currently, there are 698 social housing projects being implemented nationwide, with a scale of 657,441 units.

At the meeting, delegates focused on discussing and proposing various solutions to overcome difficulties in the development of the real estate market and social housing, emphasizing the completion of the legal framework; allocating local budgets to carry out compensation, resettlement support, and create cleared land funds; and improving the information system and database on housing and the real estate market…

Reporting to the Central Steering Committee at the provincial bridge point, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Lai Van Hoan stated: Currently, there are approximately 138 housing development projects underway or planned for the province, including 104 commercial housing projects and 34 social housing projects. In fulfilling the social housing development target assigned by the Prime Minister, Hung Yen province has completed 1,500 units in the 2021-2024 period, with an expected completion of 3,073 units in 2025 alone. In the province, there are 15 real estate trading floors and 13 real estate brokerage firms registering to operate. After the merger, the real estate market in the province has changed positively, with transactions tending to concentrate in the areas with development potential, especially those adjacent to Hanoi.

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Lai Van Hoan, reports on the results of housing development and the province's real estate market.

Besides the achievements, the province's housing development and real estate market still face such difficulties and obstacles as: some investors have been allocated land but have not actively implemented projects; the mechanism for investment attraction is not closely linked to the requirement of reducing selling prices, leading to relatively high prices for social housing in the province.

Concluding the meeting, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh affirmed that this term is a breakthrough in housing development. To strive towards achieving the target of one million apartments by 2028, the Prime Minister requested localities to continue building on the achievements, proactively allocate land, expedite investment procedures, ensure the supply of construction materials, and create favorable conditions for the sustainable development of social housing, targeting the right beneficiaries, meeting people's needs, contributing to reducing real estate prices and stabilizing social security. During implementation, if difficulties or obstacles arise, ministries, sectors, and localities must promptly report them for resolution, avoiding prolonged delays.

Regarding the real estate and commercial housing market, the Prime Minister assessed that the market has seen positive changes and is gradually recovering thanks to the synchronized and decisive involvement of the entire political system. He assigned the Ministry of Construction to lead and coordinate with relevant ministries and sectors to build and complete the national database on housing and the real estate market, striving to complete it in the first quarter of 2026. Simultaneously, a comprehensive review of overlapping and inadequate legal regulations is needed to further develop a healthy, stable, and sustainable real estate market. Regarding capital sources, the Prime Minister requested diversification of fundraising channels to avoid excessive reliance on bank credit; strengthen control over real estate prices, effectively address inventory issues, promote digital transformation, and ensure the market to operate openly and transparently.
