The 2024 lychee market opened

Delegates visit the booths displaying Hung Yen Trung lychee at the market

This year, the lychee market attracted 50 booths from businesses, cooperatives, and gardeners in the province. Among them, 30 booths display, introduce and sell fresh lychee products; 20 booths introduce and sell OCOP products, typical agricultural products of the province.

Delegates cut the ribbon to open the 2024 Hung Yen lychee market

Currently, in the whole province there are over 1.3 thousand hectares of Phu Cu early-ripening hybrid lychee and Hung Yen Trung litchi, which are grown concentrated in Phu Cu district and Da Loc commune (An Thi). Some lychee growing areas in the province have been granted the growing area codes for export to the Japanese, Korean and European markets. At the market, Hung Yen Trung lychees are sold at prices ranging from 180 - 220 thousand VND/kg; Phu Cu early-ripening hybrid lychees are sold at 40-50 thousand VND/kg. On the opening day, the market attracted about 600 visitors to visit, shop, and enjoy fresh lychees and typical agricultural products of the province.

The 2024 lychee market will take place in two days from June 1 - June 2, 2024.
