Thai Binh ward strives to become the central urban area of the Eastern part of the province

Thai Binh ward was established on the basis of arranging and merging the following wards: Le Hong Phong, Bo Xuyen, Tien Phong, Tan Binh of Thai Binh city (old) and the communes: Phuc Thanh, Tan Hoa, Tan Phong of Vu Thu district (old). In the past term, the Party committee, government and people in the ward have united, strived, overcome difficulties, implemented and basically completed the set targets. The total production value for the 5 years 2021-2025 is estimated to reach at nearly 130,000 billion VND; the average growth rate is estimated to reach at 7.9%/year; the economic structure has shifted positively; the average income is about 80 million VND/person/year. In the ward, there are nearly 200 enterprises and production establishments investing in the industrial sector, over 1,100 enterprises and over 1,200 households operating in the trade and service sector, six markets and five supermarkets operating stably. The cultural and social fields have made much progress, social security has achieved good results. The work of building the Party and the political system has gained a lot of important results, political security, social order and safety have been maintained.

In the 2025 - 2030 term, Thai Binh ward strives for an average growth rate of total production value at 10.5%/year or higher; budget revenue in the area increases by an average of 5%/year; by 2030, the average income will reach 115 million VND/person/year. Every year, the Party committee has completed its tasks well or better; 95% of Party cells and party members have completed their tasks well or better; the government has achieved cleanness and strength standard; the Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations are classified as good or better.

At the Congress, the list of the Party Executive Committee, Standing Committee, Secretary, and Deputy Secretaries of the Party Committee of Thai Binh ward for the 2025-2030 term was announced, as appointed by the Standing Board of the Provincial Party Committee.

Speaking at the Congress, Comrade Nguyen Huu Nghia, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, proposed: In order to make practical contributions to the implementation of the province's overall development strategy, Thai Binh ward must strive to become a ward in the group of 10 leading communes and wards in the province and become the central urban area in the East of Hung Yen province. On the basis of promoting all potentials and advantages, it is necessary for the ward to strongly and comprehensively innovate, develop more quickly and sustainably to move forward together and surpass other urban areas in the province to become a livable place.

“Thai Binh ward needs to determine the goals and strategic development orientations to ensure that there is no subjectivity or voluntarism, but must adhere closely to reality, take reality as the truth and the measure; discuss democratically and objectively, focus on intelligence, will, and the highest sense of responsibility with a strong desire for development and a spirit of innovation and creativity” - Comrade Nguyen Huu Nghia, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee.

The Provincial Party Secretary suggested two main strategic development orientations for the ward to focus on performing, which are developing high-tech, environmentally friendly industries and accelerating the pace of urbanization through expanding urban space, investing in developing large urban areas with synchronous and modern technical infrastructure; making urban planning towards Tra Ly river and along large lakes, boosting the development of urban economy and trade and services.

The Provincial Party Secretary pointed out three strategic breakthroughs that Thai Binh ward needs to focus on implementation as follows: Creating and continuously improving an outstanding business investment environment to mobilize resources, attract enterprises, large investment projects, and modern technology to the area; continuing to boost synchronous investment in socio-economic infrastructure, synchronous technology, especially connecting traffic infrastructure, industrial infrastructure, trade and services; promoting the application of science, technology, innovation and digital transformation. The ward proactively reviews and proposes adjustments to the planning of the development space in accordance with the development goals and requirements in the new period. To continue to build a clean and strong Party organization in terms of politics, ideology, ethics, organization, and staff. To continue to synchronously perfect the organization of the grassroots political system, perfect the staff and promote administrative procedure reform.
