Provincial leaders receive and work with Samsung Home Corporation

On the morning of March 27, Mr. Pham Quang Ngoc, Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; and Mr. Nguyen Manh Quyen, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, received and worked with a delegation from Samsung Home Corporation (South Korea), led by Mr. Park Jung Beom, Vice President of the company, who came to explore investment opportunities in the province. The meeting saw the participation of Mr. Nguyen Hung Nam, the Provincial Party Committee’s Member and Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; and leaders of various provincial departments and agencies.

Speaking at the meeting, the Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Pham Quang Ngoc, gave an overview of the province's socio-economic development, potential, advantages, and development orientation.

He emphasized that, with its location bordering Hanoi, within the key economic region of Northern Vietnam, and its convenient connections to major centers such as Hanoi, Hai Phong, and Quang Ninh, Hung Yen province has many favorable conditions for the development of industry, services, and urban areas. Regarding investment attraction, the province currently has 4,050 active projects, including 946 FDI projects with a total registered capital of US$17.3 billion.

The Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee provided information on the province's urban development advantages, noting that the province has already had many modern and integrated urban areas. The province is implementing its planning for the period of 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050, aiming to develop into a modern industrial province, a logistics and service center, and a smart city in the Hanoi Capital Region. Hung Yen province is accelerating the development of its transportation network to facilitate socio-economic development and attract investment.

Introducing the company, Mr. Park Jung Beom, Vice President of Samsung Home Corporation, stated: Samsung Home Corporation is headquartered in Gyeonggi Province (South Korea) and primarily operates in the fields of smart city development, real estate, and project management. The company has strengths in master planning, developing large-scale urban areas and multi-functional complexes, and applying digital technology in infrastructure, energy, and urban service management.

On behalf of the delegation, Mr. Park Jung Beom expressed his sincere gratitude for the warm and thoughtful reception from the provincial leaders and highly appreciated Hung Yen's dynamic and open investment environment. He also stated that the company wishes to invest in a smart city development project and requested the province to allow the establishment of a company in Hung Yen province under the name Samsung Home K City Home Hung Yen Joint Stock Company and to allocate a location for the company to research and implement the project.

Concluding the meeting, the Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee expressed his admiration for Samsung Home's capabilities and experience, emphasizing that the company's investment orientation is in line with the province's urban development strategy.

The Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee affirmed that Hung Yen province always values and wishes to strengthen cooperative relations with foreign businesses and partners, including Korean businesses. He assigned the Department of Construction to act as the focal point to coordinate with the enterprise in organizing on-site surveys, exchanging and clarifying relevant issues, and creating favorable conditions for the enterprise to research and implement the project in the coming time, contributing to realizing the goal of developing a smart and sustainable urban area in the province.
