The Steering Committee for the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses in Hung Yen province (the Provincial Steering Committee) on December 13, held a meeting to implement the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses in the province, at the Provincial Party Committee’s Headquarters. According to the review of districts, town and city, currently, the total number of meritorious households in need of new construction and repair of houses is 2,076; the total number of poor and near-poor households in need of support to build and repair houses is 741. In the past time, members of the Provincial Steering Committee and localities have made efforts and actively participated in performing assigned tasks. The Provincial Fatherland Front Committee has provided account information and the focal point in charge of receiving support sources for eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses in the province; drafted a Plan to organize and launch support for the Program "Joining hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in Hung Yen province in 2025"... The Department of Construction issued an official dispatch to the District People's Committee introducing typical housing designs for people to refer to and choose when investing in housing construction... Hung Yen Newspaper, Hung Yen Radio and Television Station have stepped up propaganda on the implementation of the purpose and significance of the emulation movement "Joining hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses nationwide in 2025". The province strives to complete the construction of all temporary and dilapidated houses approved for support before November 15, 2025.
At the meeting, members of the Provincial Steering Committee discussed and proposed solutions to effectively carry out the support for eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses in the province; contributed opinions to the documents: the draft Plan for implementing the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses in Hung Yen province in 2025; the draft resolution of the Provincial People's Council on the policy of supporting the construction of new houses or repairing houses for people with meritorious services to the revolution, relatives of martyrs, and poor and near-poor households in Hung Yen province in 2025...
Concluding the meeting, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Huu Nghia emphasized: The program of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses is an important political task, demonstrating the sense of responsibility and profound humanity of the Party and State to encourage people with meritorious services to the revolution, poor and near-poor households, people in difficult circumstances... to rise up in life. The Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee noted that the implementation and organization must be drastic, synchronous, and consistent from the province to the grassroots level; ensure publicity, democracy, transparency, and the right subjects. Regarding the subjects of support, in addition to people with revolutionary contributions, martyrs' relatives, poor households, and near-poor households, it is necessary to consider and supplement support for social protection subjects and people with difficult housing circumstances... The determination of conditions and standards for the subjects must be specific and clear, not to take advantage of policies. Regarding the source of support funding, in addition to the support source from the central budget, it is necessary to calculate from the provincial budget source, legal fund sources, and call for and mobilize resources to ensure support for new construction and repair of houses at the highest level. In addition, localities, based on the actual situation, mobilize additional support for households... The Standing Board of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee coordinates with the Provincial People's Committee and relevant agencies to complete the plan to organize and launch support for the Program "Joining hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in Hung Yen province in 2025".
