Hung Yen City develops urban infrastructure

The urban appearance of Hung Yen City is increasingly spacious and modern
In 2025, the total public investment capital allocated to Hung Yen City is 1,698,163 billion VND. By the end of the first quarter, the total disbursed capital is estimated at 384,224 billion VND, equivalent to 22.63% of the plan.
The city has paid special attention to investing in urban transport infrastructure with many important projects, including the An Tao - Trung Nghia traffic route (from Dien Bien River to Tan An River) with a total investment of VND 89,379 billion. The project uses VND 62,565 billion from the provincial budget, the rest from the city budget. In the 2025 public investment plan, the provincial budget has allocated VND 26,865 billion. Currently, site clearance work is being accelerated to ensure construction progress, helping to improve the traffic system connecting the city center and wards and communes.
The project to renovate and upgrade the Hung Yen City Medical Center with a total investment of VND 30 billion is also in the implementation phase. The allocated capital includes 70% from the provincial budget and 30% from the city budget. It is expected that 12.38 billion VND will be disbursed from the provincial budget in 2025. When completed, this project will contribute to improving the health care capacity of the people, meeting the increasing demand for medical examination and treatment in the rapidly developing urban area. Along with that, the city also focuses on renovating and embellishing inner-city roads with a total investment of up to 357 billion VND, of which the provincial budget is 250 billion VND. The public investment plan for 2025 is expected to allocate 70 billion VND from the budget to conduct the first phase. This project aims to modernize traffic infrastructure, solve the narrow and degraded situation of some roads, and create more favorable conditions for urban traffic.
Key projects not only bring a new look to the city but also create an important premise to attract investment. Convenient traffic helps connect economic zones, creating momentum for trade and service development. Upgraded infrastructure in healthcare, education, culture, etc. will contribute to improving the quality of life and the attractiveness of Hung Yen city to workers, experts and businesses.
However, for projects to achieve the highest efficiency, accelerating the disbursement of public investment capital is a key factor. Comrade Nguyen Kha Phuc, Chairman of Hung Yen City People's Committee, said: Developing urban infrastructure is not only an immediate task but also the foundation for the long-term development of the city. The city is focusing on removing difficulties in site clearance, improving coordination mechanisms between relevant parties to ensure that projects are carried out on schedule, bringing real efficiency to the people.
To ensure the highest disbursement progress in 2025, Hung Yen city has proposed a lot of synchronous solutions. In particular, the city has directed specialized divisions to focus on monitoring and synthesizing the implementation of public investment plans, promptly removing difficulties, ensuring project progress. To enhance the responsibility of investors, implement construction according to detailed disbursement plans, regularly conduct field inspections to promptly resolve problems, especially in site clearance work. For projects that have not yet started, quickly complete investment procedures. For projects that are being implemented, the city requires contractors to speed up construction progress, ensure project quality...
