In the whole province there are currently 765 farms that meet the criteria of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, including 66 crop farms, 598 livestock farms, 22 aquaculture farms, and 79 mixed farms. The farms have developed and operated effectively, creating more jobs and increasing income for rural people.
The VAC farm with high economic efficiency of Mr. Nguyen Van Bon, Ha village, Yen My town (Yen My)
According to the synthesis of localities, the farms are creating regular jobs for 2,308 people. Of which, 1,633 are family workers; 675 are hired workers of farm owners. Most of the workers on the farms work based on experience and have only attended training courses; not many workers have graduated from specialized training courses. The total land area of the farms is more than 1,012 hectares. The development of the farm economy has promoted the exploitation and expansion of land for agricultural production and aquaculture, transforming low-lying areas and agricultural production with low economic efficiency into large-scale commodity production areas, linked to market demand; effective agricultural mechanization support policies have helped farms reduce labor costs and increase production value.
Investment capital for construction and production development on the farms is mainly the farm owners' own capital (accounting for about 78%), the rest is loans from banks and other credit institutions (accounting for about 22%). To date, the total investment capital of the farms has reached more than 2,280 billion VND, the average investment capital per farm is nearly 3 billion VND. The total revenue of the farms in 2024 reached more than 2,398 billion VND, an average of more than 3.1 billion VND/farm.
With the dynamism of the farm owners, and the support of the State, farms in the fields of cultivation, livestock, aquaculture and mixed farms have all achieved high economic efficiency. Typically, in the field of cultivation, there is the farm of Mr. Hoang Huu Quoc, Tien Tien commune (Phu Cu), with an area of 9.1 hectares and a revenue of 5 billion VND/year.
