Comrade Pham Quang Ngoc, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, delivers a speech encouraging the new recruits at the military handover ceremony.
During the long struggles for independence, national reunification, and the building of socialism, answering the sacred call of the Fatherland, the Party, and President Ho Chi Minh, from peaceful villages, hundreds of thousands of outstanding sons and daughters enthusiastically set out, dedicating their youth, fighting bravely, and giving their entire lives to the survival of the Fatherland and the happiness of the people. Keeping their promise to the homeland, the sons and daughters of Hung Yen have continuously strived, further glorifying their homeland's traditions; tens of thousands of beloved sons and daughters of the homeland have bravely sacrificed their lives on the battlefields; hundreds of collectives and individuals have become Heroes of the People's Armed Forces and Labor Heroes. In the momentous moments of national history, outstanding sons and daughters of Hung Yen have emerged, marking important milestones in the glorious victories of the nation, symbols of revolutionary heroism. That tradition has forged the spirit, character, and pride of today's generations.
Today's military handover ceremony is even more significant as it is held in A Sao, a land imbued with the sacred spirit of the mountains and rivers, bearing the traces of the glorious achievements of the Tran dynasty's army; a symbol of patriotism, indomitable will, and the nation's aspiration for independence and freedom. This strategically important location served as a central hub for storing provisions and weapons, considered a strong rear base and crucial military stronghold of the Tran dynasty during the three resistance wars against the Yuan-Mongol invaders; it was formerly the fiefdom of Phung Can Vuong - Yen Sinh Vuong Tran Lieu, father of Quoc Cong, Tiet Che Hung Dao Dai Vuong Tran Quoc Tuan - a hero who made great contributions to building, establishing, and founding a powerful, prosperous, and glorious dynasty throughout the nation's history of nation-building and defense.
Proud of the glorious traditions of the nation, proud of the homeland that is associated with the glorious victories of a brilliant, strong, and exceptionally powerful dynasty in the history of Vietnamese feudalism, and proud of the heroic spirit of Dong A that still resonates throughout the mountains and rivers, in this moment, as the new recruits put on their military and police uniforms, it is a great honor, a proud milestone in their youth's maturity, and a continuation of the heroic traditions of their homeland.
On behalf of the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial People's Council, the Provincial People's Committee, and the Provincial Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, the Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee urged the new recruits to uphold their revolutionary ideals and beliefs, to be absolutely loyal to the Party, the Fatherland, and the People. They should continuously study, train, strictly adhere to discipline, build strong political character, and be ready to accept and excellently complete all assigned tasks. They should uphold the traditions of their homeland, live responsibly, have a desire to contribute, and be worthy of the trust and love of their families and the people.
He expressed confidence that in the new environment, the new recruits would strive to mature and excel in their duties; he also requested that Party committees, government agencies, and mass organizations effectively implement the military's rear-area support policy, pay attention to and assist the families of the new recruits so that they can focus on their duties. He requested that the units receiving the recruits continue to pay attention to and create favorable conditions for training and preparation to help the new soldiers quickly integrate into the military environment; regularly educate them on political fortitude, organizational discipline, and solidarity, and successfully complete all assigned tasks.
