Summary of foreign-invested projects in the province’s industrial parks by the end of 2022
By the end of 2022, in industrial parks (IPs) in Hung Yen province, there are 221 foreign direct investment (FDI) enterprises registered to implement 280 valid investment projects with total registered capital of USD 5,688 million, including: 278 secondary investment projects with total registered capital of USD 5,390 million and 02 industrial park infrastructure investment projects with the registered investment capital of 298 million US dollars. The total leased land area of secondary FDI projects in industrial zones is 593 ha.
Currently, there are 21 countries and territories registered to implement investment projects in industrial zones in the province. Japan leads with 141 projects and total registered investment capital of 3,534.7 million USD, accounting for 50.36% in number of projects and 62.14% in total investment capital; Korea ranks the second with 52 projects and total registered investment capital of 635.03 million USD, accounting for 18.57% of the number of projects and 11.16% of total investment capital; Hong Kong ranks the third with 22 projects and total registered investment capital of USD 359.46 million, accounting for 7.86% of projects and 6.32% of total investment capital; followed by China with 123 projects and total registered investment capital of USD 327.97 million; accounting for 8.21% of projects and 7.77% of total investment capital;...
The main industries and fields of investment of FDI projects in industrial parks in the province today include: Manufacture of electronic products, computers and optical products; Manufacture of products from rubber and plastic; Manufacture of other non-metallic mineral products; Real estate business activities; Manufacture of automobiles and other motor vehicles; Manufacture of machinery and equipment not elsewhere classified; Manufacture of costumes; Manufacture of products from prefabricated metal; Manufacture of electrical equipment; Food production and processing; Production and distribution of electricity, gas, hot water, steam and air conditioning; Other processing and manufacturing industries; Metal production; Weaving; Manufacture of paper and paper products; ...
By the end of 2022, 253 FDI projects have been put into operation in the province’s industrial parks, including: 251 secondary investment projects and 02 industrial park infrastructure investment projects. The total number of employees of FDI enterprises is currently about 62,000 people.
