To encourage the development of the collective economy, in recent times, the province has issued a lot of support mechanisms and policies such as: Training and fostering human resources for cooperatives; support policies on science and technology; support for long-term land lease... From 2020 to present, the province has supported 79 agricultural cooperatives and cooperative groups to purchase machinery and equipment for management and operation and infrastructure construction; the Provincial Cooperative Union has organized for over 100 cooperatives to participate in trade promotion and supply-demand connection; the Provincial Cooperative Development Support Fund has disbursed loans to 35 cooperatives to develop and expand production... Thereby, creating favorable conditions for cooperatives in the province to develop. Up to now, in the whole province there are over 500 cooperatives, 556 cooperative groups (attracting over 2,770 members). The average revenue of a cooperative is 1.7 billion VND/year, profit is 300 million VND/year.

With 398 cooperatives operating in the agricultural sector, they have affirmed their important role in economic development in rural areas. Currently, most cooperatives in this sector operate under a comprehensive business model, combining production and processing services; providing input services and consuming a part of output products for members. By July this year, the whole province has had 63 agricultural cooperatives applying high technology in agricultural production; 199 cooperatives participating in chain linkage; 52 cooperatives participating in evaluating and ranking OCOP products.
Mr. Nguyen Quang Dien, Director of Tien Chau Pho Hien Cooperative (Hung Yen city) said: Currently, the cooperative has 5 products certified as OCOP products, of which 3 products are ranked 3 stars, 2 products are ranked 4 stars. Since the products were certified as OCOP, the cooperative's products have been regularly supported by specialized departments to boost and introduce at trade fairs inside and outside the province, so the consumption market is increasingly expanding. In the coming time, the cooperative will continue to promote its products, focusing on performing measures to maintain and improve product quality...
Along with agricultural cooperatives, the whole province maintains the effective operation of 44 cooperatives in the fields of handicraft, transportation services, electricity and 65 people's credit funds.
Ms. Pham Thi Hoat, Director of Hoat Tuan Agricultural, Handicraft and Civil Carpentry Cooperative, Hoa Phong commune, My Hao Town, said: To improve operational efficiency, in addition to attracting skilled workers, the cooperative focuses on investing in machinery and technology in production, and paying attention to environmental sanitation. Up to now, production stages such as: sawing, drilling, chiseling, polishing, spraying paint... are performed by machines. The average annual revenue of the cooperative reaches over 4 billion VND; creating jobs for 30 local workers with an income of 8-12 million VND/person/month.
Up to now, most cooperatives have changed their thinking, expanded their production and business scale; added new services, thereby increasing income for members; attracting young, professional workers to join the cooperative, at the same time contributing to completing the criteria in building new-style rural areas. However, the collective economic sector still has such limitations as: The number of cooperatives applying high technology and production linkage is still low; cooperative management staff is not flexible with the market mechanism; not dynamic in business development...
