WVI operates in the fields of food security, agriculture, clean water and sanitation, sustainable renewable energy, microfinance, economic development, disaster prevention and mitigation, and emergency relief, climate change, education, development and preschool education, child protection, health... according to the registered operation scope. In Hung Yen, WVI is carrying out the Microfinance Program in Kim Dong and Phu Cu districts, providing people with unsecured loans with small loans, quick procedures, and low interest. Every year, WVI develops an operation program and strictly implements the program's contents, complies with the law, and periodically reports as prescribed. Currently, there are 3,390 households/36 communes of three districts accessing loans with a total capital of 60.8 billion VND. At the meeting, the representative of WVI thanked the Provincial People's Committee for coordinating and supporting the implementation of programs, projects and non-projects that WVI sponsored in the past time and pledged to continue accompanying the province in the next time.

Speaking at the meeting, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Hung Nam emphasized that WVI's Microfinance Program which is implemented in the province has contributed to improving life, economic development, improving social security and raising awareness of the population in the communes where the project is carried out, especially capacity building for the poor. Through the project, many poverty reduction models have been piloted with high efficiency and sustainability, while contributing to strengthening the friendship relationship between Hung Yen province and the people of countries in the region and the world. The government and beneficiaries always support and expect the program and project to continue to be implemented. In the coming time, in order to strengthen the mobilization, attraction, management and effective exploitation of foreign non-governmental aid sources, the province encourages and creates favorable conditions for donors to come to survey and learn about the needs of local support to promote the mobilization and attraction of investment resources from outside, at the same time increasing the effectiveness of state management over the work of foreign NGOs; the advocacy work must ensure the right orientation, suitable to the needs and actual situation of the locality and unit. The province will accompany, be ready to coordinate, share and actively support NGOs and donors in the process of operating and implementing programs and projects in the province. During its operation in the province, WVI has strictly complied with relevant Vietnamese laws; coordinated with units, localities and partners in the province to deploy activities in accordance with the registered fields; strictly ensured the regime of information and reporting as required.
