Comrade Vuong Dinh Hue, Politburo member, Chairman of the National Assembly of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam on March 14, attended the groundbreaking ceremony of the Industrial Park No. 5

In the attendance were Members of the Party Central Committee: Mr. Nguyen Chi Dung, Minister of Planning and Investment; Mr. Nguyen Dac Vinh, Member of the National Assembly Standing Committee, Chairman of the National Assembly's Committee on Culture and Education; Mr. Vu Hong Thanh, Member of the National Assembly Standing Committee, Chairman of the National Assembly's Economic Committee; Lieutenant General Le Tan Toi, Member of the National Assembly Standing Committee, Chairman of the National Assembly's Committee for Defense and Security; Senior Lieutenant General Luong Tam Quang, Deputy Minister of Public Security; Lieutenant General Nguyen Duy Ngoc, Deputy Minister of Public Security.

On the provincial side, the ceremony saw the participation of Mr. Nguyen Huu Nghia, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Mr. Tran Quoc Toan, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Mr. Tran Quoc Van, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; leaders of a number of departments, branches and localities.

The Industrial Park No. 5 is located in two districts of Kim Dong and An Thi, with an area of more than 192.6ha, total investment capital of 2,385 billion VND. The industrial park is planned to build two wastewater treatment plants with a capacity of 7,500 m3/day and night; the housing area for workers with an area of 12ha. The areas of investment attraction of industrial parks (IZs) include: Electronics, precision mechanics; light industry, other production and business industries in line with the province’s industrial development planning. The investor of the industrial park infrastructure is Yen My Industrial Park Investment Joint Stock Company.

Speaking at the ceremony, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Quoc Van emphasized: The Industrial Park No. 5 is one of the key projects of the province. Investors need to focus on mobilizing resources and human resources to speed up the construction of industrial park infrastructure and soon attract projects for investment. The attraction of investment projects should give priority to large-scale, clean and environmentally friendly industrial projects; pay attention to the regime, policies, welfare for workers. The province will accompany and direct relevant departments and agencies to coordinate to tackle difficulties for investors in order to make the project complete and exceed the set schedule.

At the ceremony, National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue and delegates pressed the button to start the construction of the Industrial Park No. 5.
