At the Hung Yen’s bridge point, the conference drew the attendance of comrades: Colonel Nguyen Thanh Truong, Member of the Standing Board of the Provincial Party Committee, Director of the Provincial Public Security; Nguyen Hung Nam, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.

After the Prime Minister issued Directive No. 01 and related Official Telegram to strengthen fire prevention and fighting, ministries, branches and localities have proactively issued plans and documents to direct and urged the implementation of tasks as directed by the Prime Minister. The system of legal documents related to fire prevention and fighting has been completed. The resources for fire prevention and fighting are paid attention to and invested in by ministries, branches and localities. The propaganda and dissemination of laws, knowledge and skills on fire prevention and fighting have been promoted. The Ministry of Public Security has coordinated with ministries and branches to regularly inspect, supervise, promptly remind and rectify the leadership, direction and organization of fire prevention and rescue work. The violations of fire prevention and rescue work are strictly handled; construction standards and regulations related to fire prevention and rescue work have been completed, amended and supplemented in accordance with current regulations.

However, the implementation of Directive No. 01 and the Prime Minister's Official Telegram still have some shortcomings and limitations as follows: From December 15, 2022 to October 15, 2023, there are 2,927 fires and fire incidents nationwide, 134 people killed, 101 people injured, and the estimated property damage of nearly 230 billion VND and 207 hectares of forest; there are 10 explosions, 5 people killed and 18 people injured. It is worth noting that although the number of fires and fire incidents decreased, the number of deaths and injuries increased compared to the same period in 2022...

At the conference, representatives of leaders of ministries, departments, branches and localities focused on discussing and clarifying a number of achievements; at the same time, analyzed and evaluated the existing causes and limitations and proposed solutions to continue to effectively implement Directive No. 01 and the Prime Minister's Official Telegram on strengthening fire prevention and rescue work next time.

Speaking at the conclusion of the conference, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh highly appreciated the efforts of ministries, departments, branches and localities in fire prevention and rescue work over the past time; at the same time, pointed out some shortcomings and limitations, especially subjective causes leading to fires and explosions that cause damage to people and property.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh requested ministries, branches and localities to innovate their thinking, working methods and approaches to improve the quality of fire prevention and rescue work in the new situation, in which, promoting the role of people and businesses. To continue to seriously and drastically conduct the state management of fire prevention and rescue work to prevent, repel, and eventually end fires that cause particularly serious consequences, causing death due to the subjective cause. The Prime Minister reminded ministries, branches and localities to conduct a general review and inspection of fire safety in apartments, high-density housing, and production and business establishments at risk of fire and explosion at high level to come up with solutions to ensure fire and explosion restrictions; promote information, propaganda, advocacy, and raise people's awareness in fire prevention and rescue work; mobilize the combined strength of the entire political system, especially resources to serve fire prevention and rescue work; focus on thoroughly handling establishments that do not ensure fire safety...
