At the working session, the representative of Sumitomo Corporation thanked the province for creating favorable conditions for Japanese businesses to operate in Thang Long Industrial Park II in the past time. Currently, Sumitomo Corporation is expanding Thang Long Industrial Park II and received active support from the province during the project implementation. The Group hoped the province would continue to support in site clearance, the process of implementing the next steps to invest in the construction of the project according to the registered schedule.

Speaking at the working session, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Quoc Van emphasized that over the past time, departments, branches and localities of the province have made efforts to implement solutions to speed up the clearance of the expanded area of ​​​​the province. Up to now, Thang Long Industrial Park II has basically completed the compensation and clearance procedures, however, there are still many households whose land area is recovered to implement the project and not yet received compensation for site clearance. The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested the Sumitomo Corporation to urgently arrange funds to compensate for households with land areas in the project; synchronously implement coordination solutions between businesses and local authorities to speed up the project. The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee hoped that, after completing the expansion of the infrastructure of Thang Long Industrial Park II, Sumitomo Corporation would focus on attracting large and high-tech projects into the industrial park. Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Quoc Van suggested that Sumitomo Corporation continue to study investment plans in the province in the coming time.
