At the meeting, the Government listened to the content on the Covid-19 epidemic prevention and control to discuss in-depth solutions for safe, flexible adaptation and effective epidemic control; the socio-economic situation in September and 9 months of 2021, key solutions in the last months of 2021 and the coming time.
The outbreak of the Covid-19 epidemic, which has spread rapidly on a large scale from the beginning of May, has continued to make a heavy and profound impact on all socio-economic aspects throughout the country. The Government and the Prime Minister have made many drastic instructions to promptly respond to the development of the epidemic, so now the situation has changed positively, the number of infections in the community has decreased. In particular, the number of deaths has decreased sharply, the epidemic is basically controlled in most of the localities, and the progress of vaccination is accelerated. Due to the impact of the epidemic on production and business activities, GDP in the third quarter has decreased by 6.17%, pulling GDP in 9 months of 2021 to an increase of 1.42% over the same period. The macroeconomy is maintained stably, inflation is controlled at a low level, major balances of the economy are ensured. Currency market and exchange rate are stable, market liquidity is smooth. In Hung Yen, with the efforts of the whole political system, the epidemic situation in the province is under control; the socio-economic development has attained positive results, in 9 months GRDP has raisen by 5.71%; budget revenue is estimated to reach over 13.4 trillion VND, up 21.9% over the same period last year. By September 30, the province has disbursed public investment capital of more than 3 trillion VND, reaching 96.4% of the plan assigned by the Prime Minister and reaching 59.5% of the local plan.
