On 13/11/2020, the Provincial People's Committee issued the Plan No. 143 / KH-UBND to implement the Directive No. 20 / CT-TTg dated May 7, 2020 of the Prime Minister on enhancing electricity saving in the period of 2020-2025.

Accordingly, the overall goal of the Plan is to strictly implement the Directive No. 20 / CT-TTg with the aim of saving electricity in particular and using energy economically and efficiency in general, contributing to environmental protection, climate change fighting and saving natural resources; ensuring safe and stable power supply for the province's socio-economic development in the period of 2020-2025, striving to save at least 2.0% of the total power consumption annually.

The specific goal is: The demand for electricity in the period of 2020-2025 is estimated to reach at 33,985 million kWh. The goal of striving to save electricity in the period of 2020-2025 is 2% of the total power consumption, equivalent to 679.69 million kWh for each group of electricity-using industries as follows: The industry - construction at 508.27 million kWh; the trade - services at 8.16 million kWh; the consumption management group at 146.20 million kWh; the agriculture, forestry and fishery at 7.48 million kWh; other industries at 9.58 million kWh.

The plan sets out 04 tasks as follows: Performing power saving at departments, agencies, sectors, provincial unions, the People's Committees of districts, towns and city, office buildings, schools, hospitals, medical facilities; saving electricity in public lighting, lighting for advertising purposes, outdoor decoration, traffic lighting; saving electricity at commercial and services trading establishments and households; saving electricity in key energy-using establishments and commodity production and processing enterprises, vehicle and equipment manufacturing and repair establishments and handicraft production establishments .

The plan also offers 03 implementation solutions, including: The solution to improve the behavior of economical and efficient use of electricity for people; the technological - technical solution to save electricity; the solution for performing the models of economical use of electricity and economical and efficient use of energy.

In addition, the Plan clearly states the tasks of departments, branches and units in the implementation of the Directive No. 20 / CT-TTg dated May 7, 2020 of the Prime Minister.
