A clear example of this effective cooperative relationship is Hung Yen's establishment of a cooperative relationship with Kanagawa province and Nikaho city since 2015, and the implementation of many cooperative activities in the fields of economics, investment, culture, education, sports, and people-to-people exchanges. In particular, Japan is currently the largest investor in Hung Yen with 190 active projects and a total registered capital of nearly US$6.5 billion. Among these, Thang Long II Industrial Park, developed by Sumitomo Group, has become the destination for 98 Japanese FDI projects with a total registered capital of approximately US$3.6 billion, forming a dynamic Japanese business ecosystem in the province.

Informing investors about the province's potential, advantages, and development orientation in the coming period, the Provincial Party Secretary emphasized that Hung Yen is facing many opportunities for breakthroughs, possessing a strategic location in the Capital region, an increasingly complete transportation infrastructure system, and a continuously improving investment and business environment. The province is committed to fully applying all preferential mechanisms and policies as stipulated by the Vietnamese Government, while creating the most favorable conditions for investors to confidently expand production and business. Hung Yen province has always considered the success of businesses as the foundation for the development and prosperity of the locality.

Highly appreciating the initiative to organize the program, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Le Anh Tuan stated that this is a practical activity to concretize major cooperation orientations in Vietnam-Japan relations. To further develop and enhance cooperation between Hung Yen and Japanese partners, he suggested that all parties focus on promoting economic, trade, and investment cooperation; expanding cooperation in science and technology, innovation, and digital transformation; and strengthening cooperation in energy and green transformation – the areas that are opening up significant development opportunities in the coming period.
