According to the master plan, Hung Yen is positioned as a key development hub within the Red River Delta, with strong linkages to the Capital Region and the Hanoi–Hai Phong–Quang Ninh economic corridor. It serves as a vital foundation for the province to leverage its potential and advantages, strengthen regional integration, and establish new growth poles and drivers for development.

The Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee stated that Hung Yen is focusing on planning and investing in a comprehensive transport infrastructure system that incorporates diverse modes of transport, including road, rail, waterway, and seaport connections. Priority is being given to strategic transport corridors that provide direct links to Hanoi, Hai Phong, major airports, seaports, and the national transport network. Concurrently, the province is placing significant emphasis on the development of industrial infrastructure. By the third quarter of 2026, the province has commenced construction on six new industrial zones and three industrial clusters. Within the first ten months of 2026, the site clearance for these industrial zones and clusters was completed, securing over 2,000 hectares of "cleared" land, ready to welcome both domestic and international investors.

Regarding urban development, the province is currently finalizing the necessary conditions, documentation, and procedures to meet the criteria for a "Class I urban area" by 2028, with the ultimate goal of achieving full city status before 2030. These development directions create substantial scope and opportunities for collaboration in such areas as transport infrastructure, logistics, industrial zones, urban development, and services that support production and business activities.

Comrade Nguyen Manh Quyen, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, expressed his hope that the business community and investors, including the Hateco Group, will actively explore opportunities, provide input, and propose suitable projects.
