He highlighted the province's spatial development orientation, the construction of a comprehensive infrastructure system, and the identification of key growth drivers. The province’s spatial development is organized into three functional zones as follows: the northern growth zone, focusing on industry, urban development, services, logistics, and high technology; the central zone, serving as the hub for administration, politics, culture, education, tourism, and acting as a connector to foster development across all regions; and the coastal zone, envisioned as a new strategic growth driver, concentrating on the maritime economy, energy industry, manufacturing and processing, seaport logistics, urban and marine services, integrated with large-scale agricultural production.
The province is currently prioritizing the development of a transport network that connects with Hanoi, other provinces in the Red River Delta, and the province’s own key growth areas. Notable projects include a major arterial road connecting Hanoi to the coast, designed with a cross-section of 180 meters and a maximum speed of 120 km/h, as well as a route linking the provincial center to Gia Binh Airport and Hanoi’s planned second airport, featuring a 120-meter cross-section and an integrated railway line. Leader of the Department of Construction outlined the province’s development orientation in sectors of interest to South Korean investors, including urban development, industry, logistics, energy, water supply, and wastewater treatment.
Based on these planning directives, Hung Yen province aims to strengthen cooperation with South Korean investors in the development of industrial zones, urban areas, housing, technical infrastructure, logistics, energy, and high-tech sectors. The province encourages the participation of capable and experienced enterprises with a long-term investment vision, which will help effectively harness the province’s potential and advantages, thereby fostering rapid and sustainable economic growth.
