Within the framework of the visit to the Republic of Korea to attend the 30th Maekyung Global Forum with the theme "Celebrating 30 years of diplomatic relations Vietnam and Korea: Towards the future together ", on the afternoon of June 22, the delegation of leaders of Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI), leaders of Hung Yen province and businesses had a meeting with the Vietnamese Embassy in South Korea.

In the open atmosphere, Ambassador of Vietnam to the Republic of Korea Nguyen Vu Tung welcomed the visit to the Republic of Korea and the investment promotion chaired by VCCI. Ambassador Nguyen Vu Tung exchanged information about the area, including the socio-economic situation of the Republic of Korea, updated policies of the new government, and raised potentials for cooperation for businesses of Vietnam and Korea.

At the meeting, Mr. Tran Quoc Van, Deputy Party Secretary, Chairman of the People's Committee of Hung Yen province had a speech, which highlights the strengths of Hung Yen province. Accordingly, Hung Yen is located in the center of the Northern key economic region and on the eastern development axis including Hanoi, Hai Phong and Quang Ninh, which is a dynamic economic center and the economic locomotive of Vietnam. Along with the economic development of the country, Hung Yen is one of the provinces with a relatively high economic growth rate. The economic structure is rapidly shifting towards industry, service, and modernization with an industrial proportion of over 63%. Agriculture develops according to the model of high quality, bringing great economic efficiency. Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Quoc Van emphasized that Hung Yen has great development aspirations and trying to perfect the infrastructure to attract investment, considering implementing a lot of flexible mechanisms to create favorable conditions for businesses to grow.

At the meeting, the delegates exchanged a lot of information related to the situation and characteristics of Korean enterprises, the assessment of Korean enterprises about the market as well as human resources of Vietnam, etc. At the same time, sharing opportunities and realizing that it is necessary to promote promotion to create a new wave of Korean investment in Vietnam, especially the economic recovery after the COVID-19 pandemic.
