Speaking at the meeting, Minister of National Defence Phan Van Giang acknowledged and highly appreciated the province's comprehensive development results and congratulated the province on its achievements in the socio-economic development and national defense - security; and hoped the province continue to promote its achievements to develop faster and stronger in 2022 and the following years. He highly appreciated the initiative and solidarity of the army and people of Hung Yen province in the effective prevention and control of the Covid-19 epidemic in the locality as well as providing resources to support provinces and cities facing difficulties in the prevention and control of the Covid-19 epidemic.
Comrade Minister of National Defence Phan Van Giang suggested that the province pay attention to promoting and continuing to innovate the mass mobilization work; focus on conducting regimes and policies for defense cadres and officials, especially with militia and self-defense forces; on the basis of local realities, continue to advise and propose to the Party, State and Ministry of National Defence to adjust the mechanisms and policies behind the army's rear to be more suitable with practical requirements. In the immediate future, the province needs to focus on leading, directing and organizing so that the People can celebrate the Lunar New Year joyfully, safely and warmly; focus on leading and directing well the recruitment and calling of citizens to enlist in the army in 2022, ensure the quantity and quality of the assigned troops.

During the working program in the province, Minister of National Defence Phan Van Giang, the delegation and provincial leaders visited and wished New Year's greetings to officers and soldiers of the following units: the Provincial Police, the Provincial Military Command, the Northern Special Task Force for Drug and Crime Prevention and Control under the Drug and Crime Prevention and Control Department (Border Guard Command). At the places, after listening to the leaders of the units reporting on the operation results in 2021 and the plan to ensure national defense - security, social order and safety during the Lunar New Year 2022, Minister of National Defence Phan Van Giang highly appreciated the preparation and combat readiness of the units, especially the coordination with agencies, units and local authorities to firmly grasp the local situation; the development of a plan to ensure political security of the province, especially during the upcoming Lunar New Year so that the People would celebrate Tet holiday joyfully and safely.
