On the occasion of the 73rd anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs' Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2020), on July 16 and 17, the provincial delegation led by Mr. Nguyen Van Phong, Deputy Party Secretary, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee visited Vietnam - Laos International Martyrs’ Cemetery (Nghe An province); Truong Son National Martyrs’ Cemetery, Road 9 National Martyrs’ Cemetery, Quang Tri Ancient Citadel and Huong Hoa district’s Cemetery (Quang Tri Province). The delagation drew the participation of Mr. Nguyen Duy Hung, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; members of the Provincial Standing Committee, the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council, leaders of the Provincial Delegation of the National Assembly, leaders of some provincial departments and branches.

With deep respect and gratitude, the delegation came to offer incenses, lay a wreath at Vietnam - Laos International Martyrs’ Cemetery (Nghe An province); Truong Son National Martyrs’ Cemetery, Road 9 National Martyrs’ Cemetery, Quang Tri Ancient Citadel and Huong Hoa district’s Cemetery (Quang Tri Province).

On behalf of Hung Yen Party Committee, authorities and people, Mr. Nguyen Van Phong, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and Mr. Nguyen Duy Hung, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and members of the delegation honorably offered incenses to remember the great merit of President Ho Chi Minh and heroic martyrs, who devoted his youth to the independence and freedom of the Fatherland. Studying and following the ideology, morality and style of President Ho Chi Minh and deserving the loss and sacrifice of martyrs, the Party Committee, the government and the people of Hung Yen province determined to innovate, create and promote achievements, boost the socio-economic development and build an increasingly rich and beautiful hometown.

Visiting martyrs' cemeteries in Nghe An and Quang Tri provinces is an annual activity of the province to express the morality of "When drinking water, remember its source" and deep gratitude to the heroes and martyrs who sacrificed in the struggle for the national independence, liberation and unification.

The Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial People's Council, the Provincial People's Committee and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province donated the amount of VND 300 million for the Fund for the poor of Quang Tri province.
