Chairman of the provincial People's Committee Nguyen Van Phong and delegates evaluate the progress of building houses for people with meritorious services and poor households

At phase 1, 425 households have been approved to support the housing construction by the provincial People's Committee. By this time, 40 households have finished building houses, 306 households are building, 54 households have not built and 25 households have asked to withdraw due to their own wishes of building their houses, without the consensus in the families, some families do not have enough economic conditions to build a house.

To implement the Plan No. 01 / KH-BCĐ dated 12/2/2020 of the Provincial Steering Committee on reviewing, appraising and supporting the housing construction for people with meritorious services and poor households in the province (phase 2), the localities have reviewed, appraised and commented on the criteria according to the regulations. As of March 18, there are 996 households eligible for supported to build houses, including 449 households with meritorious services and 547 poor households.

In conclusion of the meeting, Chairman of the provincial People's Committee Nguyen Van Phong suggested that it is necessary to improve the sense of responsibility of the Party Committees and local authorities in reviewing, appraising and approving the needs and aspirations for housing construction of people with meritorious services and poor households; for families who only need to repair houses, local authorities should consider and propose to the Fatherland Front Committee and the provincial Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs sector to support them; the financial support for households to build houses would be timely. All levels and sectors need to propagate to help people understand the standards of policies to support the housing construction for people with meritorious services and poor households.
