At the meeting

At the meeting, Ms. Pham Thi Tuyen, Member of the Provincial Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee for Mass Mobilization, Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee reported the results of the review and implementation of housing support for people with meritorious services to the revolution and poor households in the province until October 2019 and presented the draft of the plan to implement activities to support the houses construction for people with meritorious services to the revolution and poor households in the province in 2019 - 2020. Accordingly, in the whole province, there are still 1,764 households getting difficulties in housing, which needs newly building. To date, 272 houses have been built in Phu Cu and An Thi districts, which are expected to be completed in 2019. The remaining localities are supposed to be completed in 2020. The expected support level is at least VND 80 million / household; in which, the support is 30 million VND at the provincial level, 20 million VND at the district and communal level and 30 million VND is socialized.

At the meeting, leaders of departments, branches and localities expressed their determination to successfully implement the objectives and tasks of building houses for people with meritorious services to the revolution and poor households in the province, leaving no one living in seriously degraded houses, with a risk to health and life. Delegates contributed ideas on the establishment of evaluation delegations and the criteria for reviewing and supporting houses for people with meritorious services to the revolution and poor households in the province; how to mobilize resources and support the construction of houses to ensure the goals and plans...

Concluding the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Van Phong, Deputy Party Secretary, Chairman of the provincial People's Committee requested the Department of Construction, Department of Labor – War Invalids and Social Affairs immediately after this meeting to receive the opinions of the delegates, coordinate to adjust and supplement documents and submit to the provincial People's Committee to appraise and promulgate for implementation. He requested that the support criteria must meet the right households who are really having difficulties in housing, but the right subjects must not be missed. When reviewing, the localities from the commune and district levels must be impartial, accurate and objective. Those who meet the criteria and want to be supported must have an application and consent of the whole family. Local governments, officials and members of appraisal teams must be responsible for the list of subjects that they have appraised. The provincial Radio and Television Station advises and organizes the live television program: Joining hands to build houses for people with meritorious services to the revolution and poor households in December 2019. With the goal of sustainable poverty reduction, the whole province is determined to complete the housing construction program for people with meritorious services to the revolution and poor households in 2020. This is an important job to contribute to the achievement of the goal set in the 18th Provincial Party Congress, term 2015 - 2020.
