Le Huu Kieu, under the alias of Ton Trai, was born in Lieu Xa village, Duong Hao district (now Lieu Xa commune, Yen My district). His father was Le Huu Danh, won the Doctor of Philosophy in 1670. He has 10 sons who are good at poetry and 3 sons have passed the doctorate. Le Huu Kieu is the youngest. At the age of 18, he and his brother Le Huu Muu won the inter-provincial contest, at the age of 25, he was appointed as a civil mandarin in the capital city. At the age of 28, he passed the doctorate in 1718. He is good at both martial arts and literature so he was appointed to a number of high-level mandarins. In1755, when he was 65 years old, he retired and promoted to the Minister.

Le Huu Kieu has worked as the Ministers of many Ministries.

After retiring, he studied Buddhist scriptures and opened a facility to teach Buddhism, attracted several hundred of listeners.

He died at the age of 71 in 1760.

- Hoang Hoa nha vinh

- Bac su hieu than phi

And some of the poems written in Le's family in Lieu Xa, entitled: Van Xa Le toc the pha.
