The infrastructure of industrial zones in Hung Yen is well invested 

Industrial production index rose by 9.6%

According to the Department of Industry and Trade of Hung Yen province, in the first 6 months of 2018, the industrial production index increased by 9.6% over the same period last year. Industries with high industrial production indexes are as follows: manufacturing and processing increased by 9.5%; the production and distribution of electricity, gas, hot water, steam and air conditioners rose by 11.8% ...

Notably, enterprises in the textile and garment industry in the province have produced, supplied to the domestic market and exported over 111.1 million items of all kinds, up over 12.8% over the same period last year. In 2018, the textile and garment industry strives to produce and consume 220 million products, seeing an increase of 11.6% over 2017.

In particular, PAR has been paid special attention by the Department. Up to now, the set of administrative procedures of the Department of Industry and Trade, which comprises of 127 procedures, including 115 ones at the provincial level and 12 ones at the district level, is publicized on the Department's website and fully listed at the dossier reception and result returning section of the agency, creating favorable conditions for organizations and individuals to inquire and exploit the information. Up to June 15, the Department has received and handled 3,343 dossiers, of which, 3,333 dossiers were dealt with before and on time of the deadline and the remaining 10 dossiers are still in the processing time, without any overdue dossiers.

Enhancing provincial competitiveness

To improve provincial competitiveness, the provincial People's Committee has recently issued the Plan No. 71 / KH-UBND on upgrading provincial competitiveness index (PCI) in Hung Yen province in 2018. Accordingly, Hung Yen strives to increase the PCI of 4.16 as compared to that in 2017 (from 59.09 to 63.25), improve the ranking from 8 to 10 levels as compared to 2017. Ten component indexes are supposed to improve dramatically in terms of rank (up from 10 to 15); to strongly enhance the limitation of the poor indexes.

Hung Yen provincial People's Committee also assigns specific tasks to each department, agencies, branches and the People's Committees of districts and city with the objective of improving the component criteria according to assigned tasks; accelerating the implementation of online business registration and striving to grant the online businesses registration at over 40% of the total number of records since June, 2018....

Regarding the industry and trade sector, Mr. Nguyen Van Tho - Director of Hung Yen Department of Industry and Trade - said that the Department would continue to implement the administrative reform plan as directed by the provincial People's Committee on improving the PCI; review the working process, the process of receiving and handling administrative procedures related to investment, production and business activities of the enterprises; at the same time, regularly update the new regulations, publicize the process and responsibilities of each department to carry out administrative procedures, minimize the time for settlement, create favorable conditions for organizations and citizens to address administrative procedures, contributing to the improvement of PCI; improve the investment and business environment, remove difficulties, enhance the competitiveness for businesses in the area.
