According to ancient records, the pagoda was built from the time that Vietnam was under the rule of the Chinese court and worshipped Buddha Shakyamuni. Before the August Revolution in 1945, it was the secret place of revolutionary soldiers. In the two wars of resistance against French colonialism and American imperialism, it was the frontage for guerrilla militias and local troops.
Today, Nhan Ly pagoda is supported to renovate by the local authorities and people and used as a space for the cultural and religious life of people in the area.
The relic now stores a variety of Buddha statues. Based on traditional historical values, Nhan Ly pagoda was awarded the Certificate of the provincial-level historical sites by the provincial People's Committee according to the Decision No. 1754 / QD-UBND dated 2/8/2018.
At the ceremony, the Chairman of the provincial People's Committee Nguyen Van Phong donated flowers and awarded the Certificate of the provincial-level historical sites for Nhan Ly pagoda in Nguyen Trai Commune.
