The Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs in coordination with the Central Committee of the Vietnam Association of the Elderly on September 20, implemented the Livelihood Project in Da Loc and Tien Phong communes in An Thi district.

To implement the Livelihood Project in An Thi district

The Livelihood Project will provide funding for disadvantaged elderly people in Da Loc and Tien Phong communes of An Thi district. Based on the project criteria and actual survey results, the project monitoring board has reviewed the needs and conditions to support livelihood development.

The project monitoring board selected ten poor elderly households with disabilities in Da Loc Commune and 18 households in Tien Phong Commune to support the purchase of chickens with the total amount of VND 140 million (VND 5 million per family). The monitoring process will be done in 1 year.

An Thi is the second district to apply this project, after the pilot model in Gia Lam district, Hanoi city.
