Vice Chairman of the provincial People's Committee Nguyen Minh Quang awarded the Certificate of the collective brand for Quang Chau orange – Hung Yen city to representative of the People's Committee of Quang Chau commune and the orange production and consumption cooperative in Quang Chau commune

Since 2008, Quang Chau commune has applied many policies to encourage and support farmers in the area to change their crop structure and put high quality and high yielding orange varieties in cultivation such as Vinh orange, Canh orange and V2 orange. Up to now, the commune has had 65ha of orange trees cultivation, of which 50ha is being harvested. The number of households engaging in growing oranges is 150 ones. Total output is estimated to attain 970 tons of oranges with an estimated value of over VND29 billion.

In 2017, the commune built an orange growing area of ​​32ha under the VietGap standard. 

Along with the expansion of the cultivation area, farmers in the commune have actively applied scientific and technical progress and learned experience to produce the orange with beautiful model, good quality and ensuring food hygiene and safety. 

Quang Chau orange has become a good quality and prestigious agricultural product in the market, which is consumed by many supermarkets, shops, fruit dealers in and outside the province. 

With the above achievements, on June 6, 2017, the National Office of Intellectual Property (the Ministry of Science and Technology) issued the Decision No. 36733 / QD-SHTT granting the certificate of collective brand of “Quang Chau orange - Hung Yen city” number 282543.

After the ceremony, the signing ceremony among representatives of Quang Chau orange production and consumption cooperative with orange consumption supermarkets and shops in and outside the province was held.
